I am really enjoying this aspect and look forward to more 'hard work' from you! That did look painful and is a risk of working out there on your own. Stay safe Dave :)
But Dave, if someone like Bjorn with professional japanese training and some of the best yamadori in the country failed at running his Bonsai nursery Eisei-En in the US, then what is different about this Bonsai Acres project that will make it a success?
@@TreeBoy9723 Bjorn would be tops in the country had he not left to Japan. By choice, He’s where his passion lies. I’m following mine. Native trees, not Japanese trees. I am creating a place I hope bonsai enthusiast want to come visit for the comradery, and be a place most people don’t have access to can enjoy and practice their craft.
Do you know that as a carpenter/builder instead of mixing by hand put some water in the bucket add say half the concrete mix a bit more water then the rest of it and a little more water. As its pre mixed bags mixing doesn’t do a hole lot when in your situation. Much easier and all will cure basically the same. 👍🦘🇦🇺
Lots of hard work and such a peaceful place!!!
Getting the bones set, I’m diggin it. Well, you were diggin it, I guess 😏
Can’t wait for a Toby fly-over. Very happy for, and proud of you, brother.
Cool idea with the cement buckets.
Bonsai Acres is starting to shape up! I’m shoveling with you in spirit Dave. Best wishes for all your toil to come.
It's rare and awesome to see someone else incorporating permaculture and diy into their bonsai videos!!!
Only you and Nigel that I know of.
You’re putting in some hard work. Your vision of Bonsai Acres is really inspiring. I’m loving following along on your adventure.
Dave, you got your excercise for today. Time for a cup of tea. Nice mulch you were able to get though.
Those poor ferns!
Awesome video. Can't wait to come see it in person!
Beautiful country!!!
Wow, that is a lot of work, Dave. Congrats on getting so much accomplished.
Really love the series
I hope your hand is ok! Your land is coming along nicely!

At least you have a good idea of what you can and cannot do on your land. Nice!!!
Those hole augers are the nuts. They work better than digging.
Check out The Pond Guy for supplies, Dave.
Large scale penjing designing....❤😊
… Also I hope your hand heals up ok!!!
Just wondering. Are you limited to making fires in the firepit during the dry seasons so as to prevent a forest fire?
@@growclipbonsaiforseniors1951 yes, no burning right now. Since that filming.

@@TreeBoy9723 with those I’ve inspired already, to me it’s already a success.
You should try a rear tine tiller next time. I guarantee you'll work less hard.
