You make me smile I just found your channel. I always thought people can make stuff with the tight budget and you just proved it with this video. I worked for Kroger for 30 years and did pricing and yes it’s hard but if you shop the sales in the deals in the clearance, you can still do pretty good on groceries and just kinda have to watch what you spend but you made really good meals for three dollars.
I really wondered if you could truly make a good filling meal for $3, you did and it's a meal my disabled teen can and would like to eat, that's very hard to do and stay in a budget
I would buy the turkey lunch meat, box stuff, gravy pack and potato and maybe cranberry jello. I would make stuffing stuffed turkey rollups covered with gravey, mashed potatoes, there would be a little leftover stuffing for side. If no jello then I would buy a cheap can of corn.
.. you showed up in my feed . I think your amazing ❤. After reading comments > 😮. Shouldn't have. From someone who knows what food deprivation is. .. Life's very different today, no food worries. How i would have loved your youtube in 1977, as a starving 16 year old on my own. 😢. Hugs girl , new subscriber.
Thank you! So happy no more food worries for you today! I’ve been there done that as well, which is why I make these videos 🥰 I hope it is encouraging to anyone who may be struggling to know it will be ok and they are not alone, many have and are still struggling. I’ve gotten some wild comments…. Oh well. 🤷🏽♀️ it won’t stop me from making another budget meal even today!
Hugs . Please do I lived on potatoes & margarine once for a week.. giggle .. be4 i figured It out > restaurants back then would feed you for free 😊. . childhood also rough on the food issue. .. so again some have no idea .❤ @dayswithdanik
That was a hardy meal you put together for just $3. I don’t think it would be possible to do it much differently. Maybe a sweet potato instead of a potato. Maybe some discounted bread for homemade stuffing.
Typically the smell and taste of stuffing hollers Thanksgiving to me, but it isn’t as cheap as it used to be just to buy a box… boooooo! lol But I thought this was still a delicious option! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Also, I think your idea was great because it did NOT use a frozen dinner. I’m not absolutely opposed to them, but they have no taste and you get so little for your money. I would even try to do chicken and dressing instead, even with canned chicken if I had to do that.
I used to like canned chicken when I was first out on my own in life…. Didn’t have it for years then randomly had something with it and realized how salty it is! Definitely usable, but I can’t tolerate the salt! lol!! I’ve got some more things planned! See ya soon!
Well my hope is that everyone can have a big ole feast with family and friends….. but for someone who cannot this is an idea that involves turkey and a little of the fixins, that’s tasty and also filling.
Eating on a budget can be so much more than rice and beans. I love these videos!! Keep em coming!
Yea! I’ve been waiting for this one. Such a help to people struggling.
This is great!!!!
Also a little syrup is good on cooked apple. When were were tight on money we used it to make it special😊
Made this today for my husband and I . It was yummy and filling. Thank you!
I’m so glad you made it! Thank you for the feedback!
