Yeah, my opinion with yugioh investing is: "why when pokemon exists".
If you buy sealed popular sets at MSRP (or lower if you're lucky) and plan to wait 5-10 years at least I reaaaaally don't see the risk :V

Keep in mind, most people in yugioh are players not collectors, thats why magia and other modern cards are more expensive. Because they are playable and have very few prints.

Off topic but is the v2 channel dead? your market watches were actually how I found your channel and I always enjoyed those

After my I learned my main channel would eventually be deleted by TH-cam, I stopped doing videos on v2. I honestly miss it, so I might try to make one tomorrow. Thanks for supporting :)

100% agree with your opinion on magia. Don't see the point in buying now at $800, especially when everyone knows its gonna get another print down the line. Would definitely get ten thousand dragon over this (still too expensive though imo). Also, those new ghosts look incredible, would love them in the TCG!

and in terms of investing, you're absolutely right about index funds being the safer option, but I feel because of 25th anniversary, right now/after tins & bonanza is a good time if you want to start getting into starlights, as most of the value on them has gotten destroyed. I know thats modern collecting/investing, but think some of the iconic ones will hold value over time
