The Human Centipede franchise is the perfect example of a franchise that should have stopped after one movie. Call me crazy but the first movie I loved and have rewatched many times. Yes it is extremely disturbing and if you can not handle disturbing movies, don't even try it. But something about the way it was filmed/directed and the main character is just the right amount of creepy to give you the scare plus taking into account the first movie did not contain as much gore, just the right amount without showing too much detail of what had to be done. Also the initial concept of the movie was exciting and something unheard of but then it got a bit repetitive. The second one was so disturbing that it was just a big fat no and took it way too far. I had many moments where I had to pause it to take a few moments so that I didn't throw up every few minutes. Also something about the creepy guy in charge of it all is so disturbing that his character alone makes me feel uneasy without him having to do much else. The third one I didn't even bother watching because after hearing the plot I thought no, absolutely not. But first one, classic. Second one, please no. Third one, also no.
The second Human Centipede was so much grosser. It was gorier, the black and white filter made everything feel so grimy, and mutant-lookin bad guy was just so much more fuckin gross, he’s fat, dirty, always sweating 🤢
I think it was made just to give fans more. Just like Child's play series. The TV show is far from the first movie, but it gives fans what they want, Chucky killing people. Some fans just don't care about story or originality, they just want more of something.

But the shock effect runs out after 15 minutes imo because it's so much and you don't get any breaks from all these graphic and violently sexual scenes. The only scene I still remember was the one with the baby.
I haven't watched it, and definitely don't plan to, but I do remember hearing the movie's director was investigated either because of how real or disturbing it was
3:59 one of the girls is very stupid. When she gets a chance to escape, she grabs her unconscious friend and tries to escape with her. She thought she wasn't being selfish by saving her, but it was even more selfish. If she didn't grab her friend, she could have escaped and gotten help for the other 2. In addition, the human centipede wouldn't even be created.

No movie has ever stuck with me like Requiem for a Dream has. Partly because it's so a great movie and partly because I - like Sara - became very addicted to pills I was prescribed by a doctor without knowing really what I was getting into (first oxycodone for pain and then amphetamine sulphate for weight loss and phenobarbital to help me sleep because of the amphetamine and then Xanax for tremors and anxiety)...and I did end up psychotic and getting sectioned. Thankfully for me, the psych doctor was amazing, immediately took me off the amphetamines and tapered me off the rest (except the oxy as I have legit very severe chronic pain) and my story had a happy ending.
The way I see it is that, no one should take pills for weight loss, because to me that just doesn’t sound natural to me at all for some reason, the way I see it is that weight loss is something that you do for *you*, you do it for yourself by putting in work to change yourself by like, changing your diet, going on runs, exercising more often, it’s something you do for yourself, taking a pill doesn’t change you in the way you would want it to (just my opinion though)

Personally, the most disturbing film I've "watched", I watched a recap of the film which is more than enough for me, is the Girl Next Door. It's the domestic horror that gets me; the monster that lives next door. Also, most horror movie victims tend to be terrible people so we don't feel as bad, but this is about a young girl who is abused, tortured, mutilated, and word that rhymes with grape by her aunt and cousins. Did I forget to mention it's also based on a true story?
As a Slovak when I heard Hostel took place in Slovakia, I immediately went to watch it out of curiosity. Now I love gore, never had a problem with it, so that didn't turn me away. Saw? Had marathons of all the films available when I was a teenager. Human Centipede 1? A bit strange, but still managed to watch it to the end without too much disgust. But oh boy, the eye scene in Hostel really upset my stomach. Especially the aftermath of it, even if it wasn't too brutal. And for that, I do have to give the movie credit. Not great, not terrible, but that scene still makes me, to this day, reconsider watching it again.
I agree that u should only watch these movies when ur in the right age. I was a very scaredy little boy back then. I haven't even watched Saw, Hostel, and Human Centipede completely, only glimpses, and it actually traumatized me. I couldn't sleep and I'm always sad when the sky turns orange coz I know it's soon gonna be sleepy time which I knew I'm never gonna get. My therapist said it's actually one of the causes for my anxiety now.
Oh man! I've watched all Hostel movies(First one is pretty good) and the frist human centipede and those made me on the edge. Just you explaining The Human Centipede 2 made me sick!
oh god listening to you describe the human centipede part 2 has caused my legs to turn to jelly, oh god. ill power through it though to see the rest of the video!
the human centipede part 2, is gross and eerie..idk what is in tom six's head, i guess he fantasize gross stuff. finally someone agrees with me about tom six..
my friends and I recently watched all 3 of the Human Centipede films and I can absolutely agree that the second film is by far the worst one. The first film is disturbing and fairly off-putting, much in contrast to the third film, where its a very silly and fun film
The third one is 100% a “fuck it we got the money let’s have fun!” While the second one is just a fetish film. I’d rather watch the first and third movies on loop for a week than watch the second one again even just once. Props that they made it black and white though it would’ve been so much worse in color
Holy fuck i think i saw an edited version of Hostel on cable TV and it fucking scarred me for years, even to this day. If it has a scene where one guy gets his Achilles slashed on both feet and allowed to try and run away, then yeah thats the scene
Honestly, the first Human Centipede movie isn't really that bad. It's well-acted, got good effects and productions, and is a movie I've seen a couple times and I don't get freaked out by it. Human Centipede 2, on the other hand, that messed me up only by seeing clips of it. I refuse to watch the full movie. Human Centipede 3 I've also seen clips off and it's not bad.
I haven’t even watched requiem for a dream yet and idk why but just hearing Sara say “I’m somebody now Harry, everybody likes me. Millions of people will see me and they’ll all like me.” For some reason just breaks my heart to hear it for some reason.
I don’t think Requiem for a Dream is disturbing, it’s just sad. The Human Centipede franchise, the first is interesting, the second is just disgusting, the third silly. Hostel is more violent. Disturbing movies are August Underground, Martyrs ( the original ) & A Serbian Film
Not sure if you’ve seen it or not, but I would recommend Jacob’s Ladder. It’s one of the main influences in the creation of the first Silent Hill game.
I’m pretty late, but if there’s one movie that disturbed me beyond belief, especially because it’s based on a true story, is ‘The Girl Next Door’. It’s on Netflix, and I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I’ll never forget it
The strangest part of thc? The third movie is just the second, a dude that watched the previous movie amd decided to do the same Like, i think that six just wants to someone to do it really, and maybe that way he can claim to be in a movie (our reality) that it will inevitably be an ispiration to a greater reality that see us as a movie
requiem for a dream is really terrifying to me. I've had 2 times where medication prescribed to me didn't work out at all, and completely ruined my mental health (anti-psychotics and the pill), so seeing someone go through that but much worse is absolutely terrifying
Wow...I started watching human centipede 2 years ago and never made it past the first like...two scenes, I just felt either off or bored idr. But thank God cos just you describing it makes me want to throw up
its a great movie but its not horror in a traditional sense. its a very emotionally draining movie (for me at least) and it just shows how easy it is to fall into the abyss called addiction. Which makes this movie so damn scary and uncomfortable.
Requiem for a Dream is one of the best movies I've ever watched, but damn, it's a HARD ONE. Most of Aronofsky's movies leave you with a sense of numb helplessness. It sure left me in a deep sense of emotional distress, only by the themes and execution, and not gross imagery. Make sure you're in a stable state of mind before you strap in for that one, though.
I've seen A Serbian Film. On TH-cam back when you could. I won't repeat any of it. The last half hour sticks with me to this day. Even though it's only a movie, it will scar you for life.
The cinematography in Requiem for a Dream was made specifically to simulate the feeling of being on the drugs and the feeling of suffering withdrawal symptoms. For example, in the scene of Harry and Tyrone in jail, the camera shakes every time one of them raises their voice and a high pitched noise is heard. These were meant to simulate sensory overload, which is one symptom that some drug addicts experience when they’re in withdrawal.
I feel like I watched "Requiem for a Dream" during my courses in high school at some point, I walked out of it before it ended, absolutely couldn't take it
Kind of shocked you didn't mention the best and most memorable part of Requiem for a Dream. That is the music. Well... The most famous music if you grew up in the early TH-cam days and recall everyone and their mother used it for trailers.
man behind the sun seems really disturbing, the thing that makes it worse is that it is about real place called unit 731. I haven't seen the whole film yet.
btw when i heard about human centipede when i first heard about how the second one and how idk THE ONLY THING THATS COLURFULL THE SHIT now i just wnna cry bc what movies have become
The first two are amazing. Especially Hostel. Haven't seen the third one yet. How about watching August Underground for a new video? Also, what did you think of the last Paranormal Activity film?
I know it would be hell painful but going down by power drill would not be that bad. And Requiem for dream was my seminar paper during one of psychology semester, so yeah that was hell a ride
This may be a lame tip, but if you are looking to get into heavier horror movies, I'd start by watching at least the first Saw. The first Saw is certainly gory, but honestly it isn't as bad as the entire franchise has a rep to be. There are a couple gory parts (someone (I'm sorry I forget his name) gets shot multiple times, a doctor who says excuse me way too many times saws off his own foot but it doesn't really show much) The rest of the movies do get worse, the second one is OK, but the third one is when it gets really gory (was not prepared for the beginning scene where he broke his own foot. Ouch.)
Sara's story in both the film and the novel are arguably the saddest. In the end, all she ever wanted was a loving relationship with her son but used TV and speed pills to fill the void since Harry is deep into his addictions.

*Not to confused with the 2004 raunchy comedy of the same name.

Yeah the atmosphere in Hostel does the trick of making it a real horror film.
I love this concept please do more
the human centipede part 2, is gross and eerie..idk what is in tom six's head, i guess he fantasize gross stuff. finally someone agrees with me about tom six..
I seen the first 2 but never heard of the 3rd one. My minds is corrupted for sure.
Have you watched the other two he said yt would put an age restriction on?
Just watched one of your videos for the first time today and I’m obsessed! I love the way you explain these movies. Great videos
The scary thing is, that the hostel plot might actually happen in real life
When I saw the human centipede existed and lost faith in humanity more then I could
Really great video. Would love to see more like this!
while you were explaining the pregnant woman escape scene, i was like "Don't say it, don't say it, don't say it -- you said it."
merry christmas and happy new year!! i love your channel, can’t wait for new content to come!!! 💛💛
She did the fastest spawn kill
my friends and I recently watched all 3 of the Human Centipede films and I can absolutely agree that the second film is by far the worst one.
If it has a scene where one guy gets his Achilles slashed on both feet and allowed to try and run away, then yeah thats the scene
havent watched this yet but im already hyped
Honestly, the first Human Centipede movie isn't really that bad. It's well-acted, got good effects and productions, and is a movie I've seen a couple times and I don't get freaked out by it. Human Centipede 2, on the other hand, that messed me up only by seeing clips of it. I refuse to watch the full movie. Human Centipede 3 I've also seen clips off and it's not bad.
Do how to beat hostel, I know its not like the saw films. But it would still be interesting.
I hate the human centipede 2 because Martin gets away with it all in the end
Spookyrice covers the most disturbing films which is great because i can handle gore but not vomit AND gore
I haven’t even watched requiem for a dream yet and idk why but just hearing Sara say “I’m somebody now Harry, everybody likes me. Millions of people will see me and they’ll all like me.” For some reason just breaks my heart to hear it for some reason.
I took a look on the 2 films that you were afraid to mention. Now i understand why, and i wish didnt
By original, do you mean the one in which they skin that woman to understand what happens after death?
@@josephmangara9687 he means the french og not the shitty usa remake. (also the OG is literally the most disturbing movie.)
@@ReallyLongURL I'll look for the french version, I've watched the one released in 2008, it's actually the french version
I’ll never forget it
Love your stuff man. Keep up the amazing work! I hope to see you next year.
The strangest part of thc? The third movie is just the second, a dude that watched the previous movie amd decided to do the same
Like, i think that six just wants to someone to do it really, and maybe that way he can claim to be in a movie (our reality) that it will inevitably be an ispiration to a greater reality that see us as a movie
What about the scene when the cuts the other guys Achilles’ tendons and then tell him to walk. That really makes me cringe
Oh yeah, I could barely watch that! Really made me shiver!
requiem for a dream is really terrifying to me. I've had 2 times where medication prescribed to me didn't work out at all, and completely ruined my mental health (anti-psychotics and the pill), so seeing someone go through that but much worse is absolutely terrifying
Requiem for a Dream is a masterpiece. The slow descent into complete madness and degeneration. Glad I saw it after 18 lmao.
Wow...I started watching human centipede 2 years ago and never made it past the first like...two scenes, I just felt either off or bored idr. But thank God cos just you describing it makes me want to throw up
Love this channel, saved me from watching some bad movies🙌
Great vid mate👍🏻
Love your videos, man
ive never watched requiem for a dream but i can tell its the type of movie that doesnt force jumpscares but rather it used psychological horror
its a great movie but its not horror in a traditional sense. its a very emotionally draining movie (for me at least) and it just shows how easy it is to fall into the abyss called addiction. Which makes this movie so damn scary and uncomfortable.
requiem for a dream is one of my all time favorite films. it's a pice of art.
I just finished watching it, and holy hell, is it disturbing, but appropriately so.
"I made my dad watch it." Your poor dad!
Requiem For a Dream is one of my favourite movies. Unbelievably sad and Ellen Burstyn as Sara Goldfarb is the best acting I have ever seen.
Human Centipede is so so disturbing. I loved the South Park parody 😂
You should check out a movie called “Autopsy”.
It’s from 2008, very underrated, and very graphic
I've seen A Serbian Film. On TH-cam back when you could. I won't repeat any of it. The last half hour sticks with me to this day. Even though it's only a movie, it will scar you for life.
7:05 Yeah that scene literally fucked me up. i was 15 probably. Saw is a kid's play compared.
I feel like I watched "Requiem for a Dream" during my courses in high school at some point, I walked out of it before it ended, absolutely couldn't take it
Try this for fun:
- Melancholie Der Engel
- A Serbian Film
- August Underground's Mordum
- Any Michael Bay movie (the hardest to sit through!)
In Hostel Paxton and Josh meet Oli in Barcelona. Paxton said so to Alexi. And Bratislava is the capital of Slovakia. Not just any city.
Great vid man!
Saw and human centipede are the grossest movies to me.
Doesn’t The Human Centipede 2 also end with the “it was all a dream” trope? It seems about par the course for that… Experience…
Never seen it but based off his description it might be a more bearable movie knowing that
No, it ends with him failing but it did really happen. He plans on doing it a second time too
You are a real trooper for putting yourself under so much emotional damage
we HAD to watch requiem for a dream in elementary school when we were like 12-14 as a prevention not to do drugs
Kind of shocked you didn't mention the best and most memorable part of Requiem for a Dream. That is the music. Well... The most famous music if you grew up in the early TH-cam days and recall everyone and their mother used it for trailers.
The human centipede 2 is such a pain
Human centipede 2 actually made me feel ill and I've seen do many gross films
man behind the sun seems really disturbing, the thing that makes it worse is that it is about real place called unit 731.
Réquiem for a dream is soo good tbh
“The first 2 are amazing” what’s wrong with you
@@Rinkawaiii BAAAAAAAWWW
The first two?... Two?
Human Centipede 2 is the only movie I couldn't finish
Hitstart love it when you talk about hostel and saw
Ouch.)
Who ever made the human centipede 2 is scarier than the movie itself
I’m amazed that you consider the baby scene one of the LEAST disturbing parts of HC2 😂
