Hey Matt, love the video I wish there was more content like this on youtube. I'm really curious about how your rate and length change as you do a 2k. Do you keep pushing the rate or do you aim for a one constant rate? You shorten up when you get to the final sprint? Do lengthen out your stroke at any point? Is a higher stroke rate better than more power per stroke for the same split?

Thank you! Much appreciated. My first and last 500m are always higher on the rate than the middle 1k with the last 500m being the highest. On a 2k ergo I tend to settle onto my race rate through 250m and sit there until the final 1min when I really start to turn it on. Final 100m is usually half slide.

Alot of the team have strengths and weaknesses. Some are very strong in the upper body and some are very strong lower. Ideally you want to be over 100kg in all basic movements such as bench push, pull and back squat. Or are you asking if Moe lifts the biggest weights?

I did a 6:18 (2K) with absolutely no experience on the rowing machine. Is that a decent time?

That's very decent for a first attempt. Awesome job!
