Thank you! There is actually a difference. In the monza example thats actually a mistake, I meant to shift down to 2nd immediately. When downshifting more quickly it basically just engine brakes more effectively as the RPMs are even more limited

I think it’s part EA rushing a skeleton crew but also a pretty big part is the new ground effect regs, they’re so damn slippery, it’s almost like they’re hovering lol. What sucks is I’d finally gotten pretty good with em in 23 and then I upgraded consoles and decided to get 24 cause champions Ed was on sale for $20 cheaper than the game itself. Probably a secondary red flag to everyone’s constant bitching about the physics but holy hell they went the complete opposite direction and nerfed the challenge, cars are sticky as fuck. And I didn’t start until after that big patch so I can’t imagine how much more “Fudrucker’s micro-arcade’s Cruisin’ USA rig, circa 2001”-y it must have been if this is so much better lol
Can you gain more speed on higher gears (5, 6, 7) when you don't change gear straight away when it reaches the end of the purple line but also before it reaches max rpm? Rather than ALWAYS changing when the line reaches the end of the purple line?
I depends on how long the part you are at before coming into a corner. Sometimes it's better to overrev on 6,7th sometimes 5th gear rather to shift up if its just like 250-350m left to the breaking point, you dont gain that many more km/h on those meters left by upshifting before you have to downshift, you also gonna have 1 less gear to downshift from. So I think what you might loose on the speed you will gain in the cornering due to a more stable car under the braking and downshifting. But its all connected to brake bias/pressure, and other settings. Play around, on some corners its better to upshift and downshift again to get more rotation in the corner, on some its better to outrev, thats whats make it fun to test different approaches and see if you gain or loose time. I'm not an expert on the game, just an happy amateur :D on lvl 86. Hope it helps.
@@TDPrez the beep sound... I only can get it in helm camera... but then the rest of the sounds hurts my ears (deep muffle sound which hurt my ears because of the bass)

How do you change the shift lights till where it only shows red and purple lights and not the green

not sure if i understand, but staying at mid RPM in higher gears can often be a better solution than downshifting, it just depends on the corner

were u trying to get the beep sound, or the sound of the engine
