Google Translate _does_ work, but Papago is far better most of the time when you're translating to and from Korean. It's still not perfect, but it has a much better grasp of grammar than Google does.

Are you talking about the mpass card for foreigners? The mpass card is going out of business. T-money card is better. I went to T-money headquarters and checked it. ^^
Koreans don’t use google much, and most people prefer to use a site called Naver! So naturally, Koreans use naver maps over google maps, and it’s so much easier to use. Google maps works, but it’s not as accurate.
As I understand it, the South Korean government don't allow foreign companies to use their satellites to map the country. Google Maps does still work on a broader level, but loses accuracy at a smaller scale. If you actually want to navigate the streets in South Korea, you'll want to download Naver Maps, which is Korea's native equivalent, and far more accurate.
It may be expensive to get there, but in my experience so far (I went a couple of times last year, and I'm going back in a few weeks), once you're there, it's as expensive as you make it; both times I've wound up spending far less than I expected.
