Context: this is a interactive election rp on discord about a made up nation in the balkans called nagastan. In the rp there is a civil war caused by a far right conservative getting elected. After the election the communist party and other far left parties try to overthrow the government forming the Democratic People’s Republic Of Nagastan. The civil war lasted from 1969-1971. The Democratic peoples republic ended up loosing to the republic.
Pretty much every generation of Soviet citizens had their war. The first was the lost generation, who fought in WW1, and their civil war after that. Then the G.I. Generation had WW2. Then the Hungarian counter revolution. Then the Czech counter revolution, the Sino-Soviet war, and the war in Afghanistan. In these wars, people fought and died in the millions for what they believed in and for their very lives. Then it was all taken away from them by three men who ignored Soviet democracy one last time and dissolved the USSR against their country's wishes.
