So many buttons for activities. I cant justify buying the whole set since i already have a wheel and pedals, but for 149.99 i could justify buying that shifter. Hori, sell that shifter by itself! Thank you for the review. Peace✌️
The one thing I heard about, that you didn't mention Sean is the spacing between the shifter and the buttons being way too close together, and that it should have more space, or raised above the gear knob especially when using the shifter in the forward gears. I feel it is something hori should have considered In the design is to move the buttons further away from the gearshifter knob.
I'm familiar with Hori from it's fighting game peripherals, where they have low to middle-range quality controllers. While I wouldn't mind a truck sim setup for a bit of fun, I'll probably wait and check in with reviews a few months to a year from now to see how this one holds up
Nah, I'd rather pay a bit more and get the Moza trucking bundle with added indicator stalks. Much better quality and a wheel you could also use in racing sims.
@@KayoMichiels they work as a general game controller (like a generic joystick) and thus can mapped in any game that can accept multiple controllers at once, which most post-2007 games do.
@Spacebarf I have, but some controllers are finicky when it comes to button presses... some send out a different command when the stalks return to center... some send the same button press again and others don't send another press when it returns to center...
The peddle set should be made of medal not plastic. The shifter should have a longer medal shaft to raise it away from the base. It looks too much like a race car shifter with a short throw.
That is a great starter kit. I think the Moza is a better long term investment. Or Fanatec with an aftermarket wheel. I have a 14" wheel that is good, but you can buy bigger. I would want more than 8 NM with anything over 15." The shifter is nice, the handle is $100 all day these days. Mine is an Eaton out of a real semi and it is plastic with a metal thread embedded. It is high quality plastic, but still plastic.
@@surgtech1503Between the CC fraud issues and now I'm hearing they had malware in their previous software. Was leaning towards Moza but now I'm looking at Hori again. Idk it's a tough choice.
Gear driven, plastic wheel for $599....no thanks. The shifter is easily the best part even if it modeled after a European shifter. Sure you don't get all the buttons but a much better wheel for $50 less is the Moza Trucking Bundle. There is absolutely no way that I can recommend belt/gear driven wheels these days.
Nonsense, how many euro truck drivers, drive with the steering wheel in that position, that's why they will release the updated version soon , DON'T listen to this mug

i dont see any option for separate shifter purchase on their site or amazon
@@driftozphotography thats why hes literally telling/asking them to do so
@@JoshuaDay0550 the way i read it with the price tag i thought he was saying that they do sell seperate.

600 plus shipping for this is insane
Very curious about this, great review as always, thanks Shaun!
at 850+ Cad , I cannot deal with a flexxy wheel and base that just kills it for me , ty for reviewing it properly and showing its faults.
Keep on Truckin 🚛
Wait this is a full 747 cockpit controller!
Is there also a Bus simulator out there? This would be perfect for that too!
I'm pretty sure there is.
Right now, I just want that shifter, but it all does look good.

Now we just have to wait for some company to come out with a proper air feeling brake pedal
Looks like G25 dual FFB motors. 🎉

Except the stalks are only supported in 2 games.. euro truck sim 2 and American truck sim...

Yea for $600.00 plus tax n shipping I would want more quality like the MOZA bundle if HORI was $100 less then MSRP no brainer
@@KayoMichiels just like other commenter said, you can map then to anything you want. Have you ever set something up on a PC? Lol

I heard in another video that the sound while turning the wheel is incredible loud. Curious if it is standard like this?

Did you pay full price for this, or was this subsidized by the company?

Moza seems to be having some QC and other issues recently from things I've read. I would 100% buy the shifter stand alone though.

199.99 tops or make your own since it's not popular the price should be wayyyy lower
