hi Claudia! I'm 14 and I started dancing about 8 months ago, so I struggle with alot of things, but I most would like to improve my turnout. could you maybe make a video for exercises to do to improve turnout?
emma elizabeth 18 if you want to improve your turnout you can try a strattle on the ground and hold your arches. Sorry if this was confusing. Good Luck!
Emma Domschot I hope you can achieve what you want I've been dancing in ballet for 5 years now. And I still have ALOT to learn isn't that amazing. The teenagers in my studio are amazing and I look up to them and there supper nice I cannot wait until I can get taught by the same teacher as them!
Vedeliana Valerius j do believe she said *beginner* the keyword was beginner so before you be rude and call somebody a non dancer shut the fuck up and read their words carefully you jackass.
+KU Random r u gonna use them in your floor routine or r u just learning them for fun, bc it might work a little different for a gymnast as u do it barefoot on a spring floor and we do it in ballet flats and pointe shoes on a dance floor.
I am an Italian girl but I understand almost all the words in your videos. I hope I wouldn't make mistakes in this comment. I want to thank you for all the passion that you put in every videos, I would like to teach dance one day and I hope I'll be a fantastic teacher like you :) thank you for the tips I'll use them a lot :)
This is absolutely brilliant. I had many teachers try to explain to me how to do these turns but they never had me do exercises like this! Thank you so much!
I'm glad to see such a good quality channel getting subs so fast, I mean it's only been a month since you started uploading! :) but I think you deserve 100k lol. A video idea: I love videos of people's dance/stretching routines, so maybe a video of daily dance exercises that you would recommend for students would be good (like outside of class)
I've quickly become obsessed with these videos. You are such a great instructor, I'll definitely be incorporating stuff I've learned here into my lesson plans.
Thank you Claudia! I'm an older beginner, but I'm working my way slowly and surely. I have pretty good balance but I've got a lot of weakness in my posture. A nice tour-jete is on my list of things to nail.
I always imagine going up a straw as it increases balance in the right position and stays on balance on the ball of your foot. Also the string technique ^^ is great
this comment was a long time ago but just for anyone who has the same question- i couldn’t stop hopping in turns, but now i don’t do it at all, you have to make sure you connect your plié to your turn, for every single pirouette. make sure you push through the floor and pull up, because if you are just relevé without pushing down, it’s just basically physics will make you be jumpy and not able to turn. I hope this helped anyone who needed help!
Just wanted to let you know that your videos are very user friendly. I have never ever done Ballet before and I’m quite heavy in muscles (5’6 and 145 pounds) but I was able to do two consecutive ones without any prior knowledge!
this helped me so much!!💫I have to learn that for my floor excersize (I'm a gymnast) and you explain things sooooooo much better then my coach💕Thank you so much!!!💙
Lindsay Marie Hello, how are you doing? I love gymnastics, and sometimes it makes me sad when I see gymnasts doing messy triple or quadruple turns instead of clean doubles. Many gymnasts have so much power and have far too much speed and momentum. I had the same problem (I used to do rhythmic gymnastics). Then I got a new coach, and she made me do very slow turns at the beginning, and I improved so much in a couple of hours
Hey I was actually trained to cross the working leg to the side like you mentioned before going to devant. Interesting. I mean when my teacher taught us that style of the fouette she also explained the way you mentioned, but she prefers us to cross it.
this was so helpful!! i've been dancing for three years now, but i'm a bit of a perfectionist and your videos have helped me a lot! looking forward to more!
Claudia all your students are beautiful dancers!! Love love your channel. Thank you for making these videos to help another fellow dancer who wants to dance on point. :) lots of love from Arizona !
omg the tip #9 helped me achieve my first triple turn when I can barely do 1 and 1/3 properly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! tks soooooooooooo much Claudia!!!!!!!!!!!
What helped me do spotting correctly without getting dizzy, is to NOT whip your head around yet, until you feel your neck bunch up and feel strain, THEN whip your head around! I was always whipping my head way too early and getting very dizzy!
You are really perfect! Your videos are helpfull and i really apreciate the fact that you are trying to give your best advice you have to all of us! I think that a video with back flexibility would be really helpful! Keep going!! 😄💖
This helped so much! In my dance studio they don't even teach fouetté turns until much older but I still just wanted to try lol. I was really bad at it but thinking about making the first one really fluid was insanely helpful!!
A couple of quick questions... 1. You say glute, but point to the hamstring. Are you meaning the connection between the glute and hamstring? Looks like you're talking about the lateral hamstring? 2. Why do you not like the opening to the corner? Is it a rhythm thing? Thanks for the video! And AMEN on the arms in second thing!
Am i a dancer? No. Am i gonna do this anyway? Yes
👍 love that
Lol mood
studysew I love this comment!
Lol
@DALAPATI SANITRA very irrelevant XD
She really makes those fouettes look much easier than they are. Just wow.
that's pretty much all of ballet...making things look effortless when they are absolutely not 😂
@@thecomorbiditycurator8018 When you learn true technique everything is very simple. Still lots of hard work.
@@SP.Addams we are saying the same thing
Why am I here. It's 4am and I've never done ballet.
cheery folderol lol lol
S a m e
lol I love doing ballet
sklart relatable
RainSwirl98 bruh don’t tell her to stop
sometimes the leg drops below ninety
umm mine doesn't drop, its already down there
Daisy same 😭
I did dancing for 11 years and I can't get my leg much higher than 45° no matter how hard I try 😖
@@A_keo Its so annoying right
@@Daisy-xm7gx tell me about it. I want to try improving my flexibility, but I don't really know where to begin
AK it’s not about flexibility(it does play a party tho) it’s about strength. Not your quads but your hamstrings and inner thing.
I'd love to see a video on how to increase the arch of your foot
Love Tia Stay tuned as I have a video releasing soon on how to improve your legs & feet!😄💖
Love Tia me to😁
lol I have a huge natural arch and I don't even do dance
@@jasmine-010 yeah, i can almost touch my toes to the ground when i point and its natural. but i do do dance so...
pastelqueen same and I always over-arch my foot and it gets sore after I dance
I know I’m late but I wish you did this with someone who couldn’t do fouttes, it would make it easier
You need to be able to do basic fouettés first, before perfecting them, just work on your arch and not suckling that’s the biggest part
What an excellent student. She is very Advanced . Brilliant video...
Stewart Harvey-Wilson She is beautiful ! 😃😍
Stewart Harvey-Wilson she goes to my dance
what is her name??♥
SvetlanaSavelieva Official her name is Heidi
wow
Who would LOVE Claudia as a coach? She’s so nice and has good advice
Never knew that having your leg under 90 would make it harder! Thank you so much! x
Hannah Newton Anytime! Thankyou for your support xx
hi Claudia! I'm 14 and I started dancing about 8 months ago, so I struggle with alot of things, but I most would like to improve my turnout. could you maybe make a video for exercises to do to improve turnout?
emma elizabeth 18 same, i started doing ballet after the summer so I hope these videos help
keep your eye out for more videos to come xx

Emma Domschot I'm 10 and I started when I was 5 or 6 and I'm in a class with 16 year olds
I can see why she was chosen to the Prix!!
can you do a vid telling beginner dancers the name of all of the moves please I have to study them and a vid would help
Vedeliana Valerius j do believe she said *beginner* the keyword was beginner so before you be rude and call somebody a non dancer shut the fuck up and read their words carefully you jackass.
@Vedeliana Valerius She said clearly *beginner* you illiterate shit
Can ppl stop cursing please?

@Evelyn Yeet no need to be rude sh*t b she was being nice but I’m not gonna be if you bully her like that
this helped me alot! im selfthaught and do foettes the way i think its done. now i know the proper way to do it and it already looks alot better
Im glad to hear that xo
That’s amazing,
how about fouettes en pointe? I'm fine in my slippers. I can get to 32 but pointe shoes I'm lucky to get to 16
Omg same, I can get like 30 with my ballet flats, but in pointe shoes I can only make a good 20 or so
Juliet the dancer i can only do two in flats I don't take class, but I turn for fun. You must have great balance!!
Joy Jin Same, I'm watching this cause I'm trying to teach myself (I'm a gymnast)
+KU Random r u gonna use them in your floor routine or r u just learning them for fun, bc it might work a little different for a gymnast as u do it barefoot on a spring floor and we do it in ballet flats and pointe shoes on a dance floor.
Juliet the dancer Its sorta more for fun, but I guess I could use it for gymnastics for higher levels when I need to do more difficult turns...
Heidi is seriously incredible!! I hope that my fouettes look as good as hers one day 😭😭 I will keep practising
i wonder if you mastered them 3 years later!
I am an Italian girl but I understand almost all the words in your videos. I hope I wouldn't make mistakes in this comment.

That was so interested make more my little daughter is practicing those and she needed help thank you.
This is what dance moms got me to 😅
As a lifelong dancer & former dance instructor, fouettes & pirouettes on pointe are much harder than on demi. She is amazing!
Dear Claudia,
Thank you for sharing your beautiful wisdom with the world, you are an angel inside and out!🦋🦋
This is so advanced to compared to where I am now, but I'm still learning a lot!

This helped me sooo much I have been trying to find a video that actually helps. Great job on the video btw
Yay that's what I love to hear xxx
You're such a fabulous dance teacher. I love your videos! ❤
When I do my fouettés I always hop. Can anyone leave any suggestions? Or leave some tips. That would be great help! Thank you so much!!😃

I always imagine going up a straw as it increases balance in the right position and stays on balance on the ball of your foot. Also the string technique ^^ is great
Use you plie hit the front position and pull up sorry this is late
