Now I get to return to sewing and your logical way of assessing the tension has taken away a lot of stress by a methodical method that also teaches you so much about the machines that we love to create on! Thank you!

Simple, Yet Absolutely Genius! At 48yo, I’m still a beginner, even though have owned my Serger for about 4 years. One of my first practice sessions ended with a threading nightmare. I couldn’t figure it out, got overwhelmed and felt so intimidated that I gave up, which isn’t like me. Alas, it’s been collecting dust since. Earlier I watched another video on how to thread my Janome 634D which actually led me to your video on Tension.
Tension has always been an issue for me, even on my basic Brother sewing machine. I just realized that, until today, I didn’t fully comprehend what I was even looking for. Now, after watching your video many times, as I wanted to pause and zoom-in at each level to make sure I understood. I’m so excited to say, I finally get-it! Thank you for this wonderfully detailed explanation! I feel like I’ve overcame the anxiety that’s held me back. Thank you for helping me find my self-confidence & enthusiasm to try again. I’m actually smiling as I type because I feel so optimistic. I simply cannot thank you enough for this amazing video! You are one brilliant young lady!

I pulled my Bernette (made by Juki I later came to know) after not having it used it since the 90's!). It still sews perfectly, but all of my institutional knowledge about operating and muscle memory in threading it (though there is a guide) was out the window.

I bought my first sewing machine (old gold and black Vibrating shuttle Singer) in 1971, but after letting my new husband have a go, it never stitched properly again, so took it back, and part exchanged it in for a Bernina 830, which I'm still using. After many years of sewing, I realised Michael had just altered the tension...
