Thank you for helping me. I am so grateful that I found your video. I have sat here for 2 days trying to thread my over looker and had now success you saved me thank you thank you. 😊 Josephine
I want to thank you so much for posting this . My Mama suffered a couple of strokes, that messed with her memory. She got out her serger, after more that 20 years , to make something for her sister. She was so upset that she started sweating and her nose was running …. I certainly couldn’t help her ! You and other’s post these videos to help people but I need you to know how very helpful you are by doing so . Thank you from the bottom of my heart .
Wow! Am I glad I found this video. I have had my serger for almost 12 years and today is the first time I see how to thread it with ease. I have been cutting off and pulling through threads when I need to change colors. Lady you are the best! Thank you for sharing
I cannot count how many times I have used your video for reference of how to thread my serger. Thank you so much. Beautifully explained and excellent camermanship. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you !!!
I have just acquired this serger from an old friend. I sat and watched all your videos on this machine. I am so inspired by the way you talked and taught this easy walk through on “How To Use This Particular Model” You are so precise and easy to follow. I feel really confident to start sewing and using my machine now. Thank you for your time.😊😊
Thank you so much ! This is the clearest easiest explanation of threading a Serger I have seen, after watching your demo it is the quickest I have EVER threaded my Serger. Brilliant.
My Serger came with pre-routed with 4 threads, unfortunately, the Lower Looper was wrongly routed. I had watched a lots of other video of Serger threading instructions, may be bad lighting, they failed to show the last 2 threading points of Lower Looper and how to route it, this video was bright, parts were clearly showed, routing holes were easy to follow, it worked right away at the first trial. Excellent Lower Looper threading instructions. Thanks!
So glad I finally found this video! The manual isn't at all helpful on how to get this thread thru the machine and back [the manual isn't clear to me, whether or how the thread goes thru and out to the left side then back to the righthand side]. The last video I found showed the other 3 threads, starting after this thread was already done...those are the easy ones that I didn't need help with. I just noticed that a few ppl gave a "thumbs down" -- I can't imagine why, unless by mistake. This is exactly what I needed!
U really are lovely. Watched other videos & ur the best. Lower looper too hard. U empathise fully with the first timer. And therefore teach so fully & detailed. Shifting the serger around to make it easier to see what to do. 🙏 Blessings will follow you.
Thank you so much, I couldn't have done that without your video and voice instructions. I'm a first time overlocker-er! Now to find your other three threading videos :)
I stuck my serger in the back of my cupboard after so many failed attemps. Stumbled a cross your videos today and your method of teaching gives me the courage to take the monster out again. Firstly I want to know if you are OK? Posted these 6 years ago. You remind me of my very first driving lesson when my late dad sternly said to me: DON'T LET THE CAR DRIVE YOU! YOU DRIVE THE CAR! You give me the same confidence. Wish me luck.
I'm glad you have found the videos helpful. And thank you for asking about me 😊 I have made so many videos but haven't had a chance to upload but I'm planning to post more videos regularly starting soon(very excited about it). These videos are from when I was having my after-purchace training session 6 years ago at my local Janome dealer store and the lovely lady who is explaining it all is one of the owners 😊
Thank you so much this is so perfect . My sister is looking to get a 8004D model is this the same way threading ? As she is very worries - please kindly let me know. You are the best Thanks so much for making this Video 🙏😘⚘
I know this is a dumb question, but I have never used a serger b4. how do you know what or which colors go where. like i have a hoodie that is white on sides, but red in the middle. what color should I use or it be best to put all threads white and call it the day?
I myself end up using beige color threads for most of my sewing projects unless the fabric is dark then I use either "steel" color or black. I have noticed for light color fabric beige/eggshell color threads always blend in much better with the fabric color.
Before the thread runs out I snip the old thread , knot the new thread s d old thread and slowly run the Machine and then it works without retreading all.
Hello I don’t know if you can help but my first thread ,the most difficult one keeps breaking,I’m exactly following the pattern showing in manual ,after inserting all threads when I overlock there’s too much loose overlooking and the upper part of material show two threads but back material show too much gathers loose threads
The threading sequence is numbered on this model. It should be 1) lower looper, 2) upper looper then right needle then left needle. On other makes etc the upper one is threaded first.
Oh no. Did you try threading them all in this order? Lower looper -> Upper looper -> needles When my threads don't form a chain, I usually start over again and rethread them all.
Not correct way. REMOVE PRESSURE FOOT,,,UPPER LOOPER FIRST,,,,LOWER LOOPER. NEXT. RIGHT NEEDLE. NEXT LEFT NEEDLE. THE PERFECT WAY. AND YOU HAVE THE BEST BRAND. JANOME.
Thank you for helping me. I am so grateful that I found your video. I have sat here for 2 days trying to thread my over looker and had now success you saved me thank you thank you. 😊 Josephine

I’m feeling extra thankful for my babylock now 😅
Fantastic demonstration!

Just bought an old serger and this was the best demo.

Thank you very much! I have struggled with manual to no avail, then found this video. I'm back to sergering! Awesome!!!!
Thankyou a million times. This is the best video I’ve seen on threading. My blood pressure has dropped! 😊
I still have the monster in my closet!

My 2 brain cells would never remember all this. Thanks! Saving this.
Thankyou. Just did this on my mum's (she's 84) 304D machine for her and I know nothing about them. Easy to follow.
Thank you so much for the demo. I didn’t realize the sequence of threading matter that much. I got the interlock to work after following your steps. 😊
You are the best...all clear to the tee..
Thank you

I never would unthread all to rethread one. The diagram shows pretty clearly which threads are where.
Thank you so much!! This is so helpful!!
Thank you so much for this!
GOD BLESS YOU
Thankyou 💕☺️
hi. do you know how to changa the lower looper?
I have this serger, what. A pain in the ass to thread the first one
I followed all the steps but the threads are coming out straight and not chaining up 😢
Oh no. Did you try threading them all in this order? Lower looper -> Upper looper -> needles
When my threads don't form a chain, I usually start over again and rethread them all.
Superb.... thank you
Thank you
Super helpful
My sewing machine repair guy says upper looper, lower looper. Then the needle threads.
