Prince harmonized with himself on the opening to his 1979 album, “For You.” He wasn’t even old enough to buy alcohol, if I’m not mistaken. He also played separate instruments on that album.
With his ability to record that 4-part harmony by himself, Ray technically didn't need the Raelettes in the studio anymore. Just keep them for the live shows and do all the vocal tracks himself. LOL

The scene with Ray performing the females vocals is Jamie Foxx himself. Most of the time it’s just him lip syncing to Rays album but this scene isn’t Ray, if you listen to the actual song, you can clearly hear its Ray just with a higher pitch but Jamie actually sounded like 4 different women and I love it

Jeff was SO good to Ray, and everyone, really. His job and his homies were both so chaotic, and it seemed like he tried to be as gentle as possible. Knowing his friends/co-workers are who they are.
