Sent back from a dystopian 2029--where the cold machines have conquered the entire world--to 1984 Los Angeles, the indestructible cyborg-assassin known as the "Terminator" commences his deadly mission to kill humankind's most important woman: the unsuspecting Sarah Connor. However, from the same war-torn post-apocalyptic future comes a battle-scarred defender--Kyle Reese, a brave soldier of the human Resistance Army--bent on stopping the cybernetic killer from eliminating the world's last hope. But, the Terminator has no feelings, he doesn't sleep, and above all, he won't stop until he carries out his grim task. Does our future lie in our past?

The owner was crazy too
He pointed that 1911 at Arnold
@sergeys9119 Or like the passenger in the truck and the Terminator told him to get out
Wrong!
Phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range 😂😂😂😂 gets me every time
"Hey just what you see pal!" LMAO!
A plasma charge is apparently very hard to control and contain. If you could send such a powerful charge/beam to its target, ie a man with no top on it could kill . If a leaf from a tree should be hit first it will deflect the particles. It really is how fictional the plasma rifle is. Look it up, cheers

Did it appear to you that maybe he looked harmless and just didn’t give it much thought ?
IKR?
It's actually funny, because in the novel when the clerk says "you sure know your weapons buddy" his inner monologue is trying to figure out if the Terminator is ex-military and what conflict he could possibly have served in because he's so young, yet so knowledgeable.
In Australia, back in the 70s and 80s when Kmart sold guns, you could just pick a 12 gauge shotgun up out of the rack and grab a couple of boxes of shells off the shelf, and walk up to the checkout with them..
This was in QLD, no gun licence, no waiting period, just had to be 17 years old. More innocent times.
40 years later, and 99% of films made today aren't this good.
Movies today are libtard crap

I love the attention to details at the last part of the scene.
The frame of the toy truck that reminds the final chase scene and the dog barking at the machine just like in the future.
Last part is very strong and dramatic. Cameron is a real genius..
@@sergeys9119- Very true. But I noticed something. As good of a Director Quentin Tarantino is, he can never be as great as James Cameron. James has been in the movie industry much longer than Quentin. If he stays in the industry for another decade or two, then he can be on the same level as Cameron.
@@stanleybroniszewsky8538 It is quite difficult to compare them cause they worked in different ways. Cameron was an master of action with a bit of dramatic. Tarantino, in my opinion, is more concern about drama and real life in his unique way. I love both of them.

The beginning of the clip is sad when you rewatch the movie, seeing this peaceful life Sarah has is about to be shattered
She wasn't enjoying spilling coffee on people - I think she had more fun running from a machine and being shot at every 5 minutes - (not to mention going to a Mental Health Hospital) yea I think she had more fun there than in that restaurant - who wouldnt enjoy themselves inside of a maximum security Mental Health Hospital??? 🤷🏾♂️

The soundtrack... Everything in this movie is perfect.
Arnold did a fantastic job.
4:03 lol *that's the truck from the Terminator 2 chase scene!*

"The Red Ridah BB gun with the compass in the stock"
"You'll shoot your eye out"
"WRONG!!!"
I like how the terminator mentioned plasma rifle even though he's in the past. I wonder if he was aware of that?
It was experimenting with the parameters of 20th century humor. The owner was dead anyways, so it was curious as to how he would react to an absurd request, in order to become a better infiltration unit.
So what a phaze plasma rifle in 40watt range is not real.
@@reddragonninja5998 Terminators are primarily an infiltration unit, and not a combat unit.
Human culture is local. In order to succeed in its mission it must practice human interaction so that later on when it needs to mimic human voices it doesnt sound out of character.
Keep in mind, it ran from the cops the first time when Reese and Sarah got arrested after the car chase shootout/crash.
Reese mentions that most historical documents were destroyed in the nuclear war, and that both humans and robots didn’t have enough information about the past, which is why the Terminator is killing all women named Sarah Connor. But since we know that Skynet was created before the nuclear war, it is quite possible that it didn’t care to provide its machines with much knowledge, just the basic.
He basically asked the Terminator a question and the Terminator answered
I'm very impressed with the quality, thank you.
Glad you like it.😊
The remastering quality of this is amazing, how did they even do that? Cameras were not at all that advanced back in those days.
Filmmakers who shot on film didn’t realise how far the resolution can or could go when filming in the 80s. This is only scratching the surface!
You can do all kinds of crazy stuff if you have access the original reels. 4k is no problem. Turns out that film reel is better at long term storage than digital.
Lo remasterizaron desde el celuloide por eso la calidad es buena
Film essentially has an infinite resolution
I love how the Terminator flinches when the gun is going off 😂
movie guns used blanks then..LOUD blanks. Many older movies show actors flinching..
even in Star Wars..at least the original series. those blasters used blanks to make a
loud noise to help the editors know where/when to place the bright SFX blaster bolts.
“45 long slide with laser sighting” that hardballer is so iconic.
In the german dubbing the guy at the phone booth yells: "Hey, look in the phone book under asshole, you'll definitely find your number there" , when pulled away. Definitely a neat take :)
As he was out of frame I guess they could have adopted artistic freedom !
One of the greatest movies of all time and the greatest Schwarznegger role ever.
I'm very impressed. The Terminator is one of the greatest sci-fi movies made. And the best of the movies in the series.
Wrong!
Nah, this franchise is one of the few examples of the sequel (Terminator 2) outdoing the original. The only other one I can think of is “The Empire Strikes Back” beating out “A New Hope”.
@@TXnine7nineOutdoing it at the box office, but not on the outright quality of the film. T2 is an overthetop blockbuster for the masses, The Terminator is a finely crafter sci-fi horror that has a cold realism and genius to it.

I like the idea of a Terminator going back in time. And really getting into guns as a hobby, and joining a club and going to gun related events,. making human friends. Then its programing kicks in telling it Sarah Connor isn't going to kill herself. So the 800 sends Howie Mandell over to her house to do an hour of stand up.

“15-day wait on handguns, but the rifles, you can take now.” - god I love American gun laws
In some states, there is a waiting period: as long as it takes to take the gun out of the display case.
And then Reese shows how to carry a rifle concealed….
Thanks to the left wing nut Whitmer gov of Michigan, you now need a CPL, to purchase a handgun, in the state. Fortunately I've always, had one.
It’s usually a 72hr wait for handguns and 48 for long guns depending on your state.

how is possible put a 80's film in 4K quality images ? this is a good job done !
Thank you. Glad you like my work.😊
Each movie filmed on pre-2000's cameras (and not on newer digital cameras) is stored on a film reel. Each film has a resolution of around 5K (Film has no "resolution", but it is calculated that it is around that resolution).
Therefore each "old" movie (up to 2000's, more or less) can be scanned up to 4K or 5K and stored on digital storage.
During this, the director may opt to also include color corrections, HDR etc...
That's how we get remasters of old movies, now on UHD Blurays, with 4K, HDR etc...
There is no official 4k scan of this film or 4k disc release which means that unless this youtube channel has access to the original film then he/she most likely used Artificial Intelligence software such as Topaz Video AI to add 4k detail to this 1080p blu ray disc that he/she has access to. @@milanmali9013

The part where he's about to show up to kill the wrong Sarah, its kind of foresahdowing the second movie cause of three things-one, the toy truck's crushed by the wheel (kind of like in the future scene in the sequel and when the top came off when T-100 was going after John), the little girl on the bike (Arnie on the motorcycle) and it showed just before the truck gets smashed. :) (i.e. he's on his way to save John from T-100.)
