Love our ebikes! We have 3. Himiway Escape for me, Lectric XP Step Through for my wife, and a Jetson Bolt Pro from Costco for my Grandson. So much fun!
Finally got me to comment! We love our bikes. We both have Aventon Aventures, about $2k each. We travel with a couple who has the same bike. We had the Himiways first. The Aventons are beautiful bikes. We use the pedal assist but rarely just throttle. It does allow us to go distances & places we normally wouldn't go. I think ebikes get a bad rap in several communities. They're too fast, they're cheating, they're not bikes...blah blah blah. Saw a bumper sticker in Crested Butte, "I hope you ebike catches on fire." I really don't get that... we are respectful, under speed, and are almost always past by non ebikes on most trails. If you stay off the throttle, keep it geared properly, and pedal... it is a great workout! I have had the chance to do some trails, never an issue with speed! Just have to know your limitations! Thanks for reviewing. You are correct, absolutely getting people out there! Sadly, there does seem to be a stigma with non-ebike riders, comments, ugly looks, etc. We promise, we won't run you down or single handily end the the self propelled industry🤣. Just get out there!
Haha! Thanks for the comment, Mark! Those Aventons you mention look like really nice bikes. Yeah, it's crazy how polarizing ebike vs bike can be with some people (kind of like politics and pandemics) huh? LOL! Thanks for watching! Glad y'all are getting out there.
You can pedal it, but it’s a heavy bike, so it requires a fair amount of energy. You could get yourself home, if you ran out of battery, but I wouldn’t want to oedal it without the assist any other time. Thanks for watching!
I hear you. It's either love em or hate em. They have their place, but you're right, there's no reward quite like the satisfaction of finishing a long ride or workout on a regular bike. Thanks for watching, Armando!
