Hello Steve. Fellow Bricklayer here in America. I was following you about a year but have not watched in a few months. I was the bricklayer in America that needed 2 hip surgerys and just got my second one about 2 months ago. I hope you are well and we had talked about hip surgery and I worked for about 5 years needing the surgery so I know the feeling of getting up every day and laying brick and pouring concrete. I was Union Bricklayer for about 15 years then had my own business for 25 years. The way your walking I can tell you have not had surgery. Try to get your hip done as soon as you can, it kills me to see you walk that way because that's the way I walked for so many years. Good luck Steve.
@@SteveAndAlexBuild I will catch up with your videos and wish you luck. I wish someone from the British NHS would come to work for you and see how hard you work with that's with good hips and see how hard the work is and rush your surgery up.
Hey Steve, just starting to watch this video. There has to be a hip surgeon in England that needs some top notch brick work. I’m thinking a deal could be made.
Al, most guys of your age wouldn't bother getting out of bed mate! Good effort all round, going to be a lovely-looking wall and entrance pillars. Attention to detail again, sweeping up the debris after a day's hard graft, sets you apart from the rest. Keep safe fellas.
It's a double edged sword when the client says I will sort the foundation for you, one way you do t need to dig but also could turn out like that, those bricks look nice, square and true, really could tell in the pillar, top quality burnt clay artist.
Hi Steve &Alex. Good job guys. Shame the footing was not perfect but you guys sorted it as normal. At least Alex did go to work most would just not bothered. When you’re self employed you push yourself more good on you Alex. Hope you feel better soon. Looking forward to the next one 👍
Hi Stephen Alex great video you make it look so easy laying bricks is there anyway when you lay in the bricks that you can tell us your technique on camera or things to watch out for? Thanks again
Great work guys, been watching a while and decided to have a go at building my porch myself having watched you guys so long up to DPC now and just got the slab done and going ok, anyway just wondering if you can answer a question ive over got loads of 275mm wall ties left over from when we had an extension built will these be ok to use on a 100mm cavity rather then buying any more?
Another good job done, On a purely personal note , those type of pillars give me nightmares , if it were mine i would have to have the wall central to the pillar , maybe i have OCD 😮
I am wondering how you tell the difference on the Bricks and when one person in the street gets things done they start asking who did it ,your work always points to quality ,thanks for the video
those fake london bricks are by far superior to the originals.used the originals on a job to top it off with headers one job, never again the very first winter after the job half the headers blew the faces off😩😩nightmare.attention to detail as allways crack on guys👍
Must be nice working together I couldn't work with my old man I couldn't be in the same room it made him nervous I think he was affected by massive steroid abuse it can cause all sorts of problems. But I didn't stop taking them 😂😂my brother was so skinny his nipple's were in single file my grub box was heavier . I have been watching lads watching you solve problems it's admirable me and the Bear watch you . Pakistani truck and 80s hear metal video's on TH-cam 😂😂
