    Beside the great playing and fun listening the jokes of Greg .... I could watch forever the big and genuine smile of Joe Carducci while listening Greg playing 😄

      I always like to see Joe representing Gretsch, such a knowledgable guy and his interaction with all types of guitar players is presented with a genuine interest.

    I've decided. Ive MADE A DAM DECISION HERE SO PAY ATTENTION!
    Gretsch has the best sounding bridge pickup Ive ever heard.
    Its not just "more treble". It's additional top end, but USABLE top end and sparkle that NO other bridge pickup can produce. Period.
    Ive never heard better.
    That's it! Decision is made.
    Now runaway!

      Todd Flowers: Hope you've got your Gretsch by now! I got mine about a year and a half ago; the guitar I have wanted all my life; the vintage edition 1962 Chet Atkins Country Gentleman! I had to have a VOX AC30/C2 amp to go with it. I guess I always wanted to be George Harrison. What a pleasure and a joy to play!

      I own a silver falcon. Saving up for this model as well...
      I gotta say... Owning a high end gretsch is like having a kid. You're motivated to take better care of yourself to keep owning one of these to live on to play it and marvel in its glory.

    • @marktoohey7046
      @marktoohey7046 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@soyborne.bornmadeandundone1342 I know exactly what you mean! My Country Gentleman is proudly displayed on its stand in front of the VOX amp. It hasn't been back in the case since the day it arrived by UPS! I marvel in its glory when it is just sitting there, and I marvel in its glory when I am playing it! At the time I was contemplating a "macro transaction" from Musician's Friend select vintage edition guitars, I shared with a friend that if I were to die without ever owning a Country Gentleman my spirit would roam this earth for the rest of eternity looking for that guitar, and regretting that I no longer had fingers with which to play it! Thank God my spirit may now be at peace!

    Greg's extrapolation of the string-break scenario saved this from being just another sales pitch for me. I was tunin' out until then...you should let Greg describe all of the features.

    I’d HAVE to have a “Tone Switch”! I love Tenny’s! My 2nd Gretsch in 1970 was a Tenny(a ‘65).. my 1st Gretsch was a ‘59 6124 Anniversary. I hope the finish is Nitro-lacquer and they used Hide Glue to put it together.. I have two Country Club’s, a ‘62 & a ‘64!

    question..where can we get spare parts...such as bridges and saddles...this is one reason that i am reluctant to buy other than fenders and gibsons...because it is easy to find gibson and fender parts almost anywhere in the world...I cannot even find replacement for prs saddles and bridges...so hesitant to buy a 5000 dollars prs or masterbuilt Gretches...

  • @marktoohey7046

    Thing is...they never mention what kind of amp they are using. I see stacks and stacks of amps; Fender, Marshall, Vox, SwanPro; not all amps have the same sound responses, so which one is it? I have always been partial to Fender and Vox myself.

    • @thenewmedic

      Greg often uses a Tone King (Imperial, IIRC). Doesn't sound like it in this amp though.

    Does anyone know if Gretsch is working on a Player's Edition of their solidbody Jet guitars?
    I've already got a 6120, although I wish the strings were as easy to change and it stayed in tune as well as the guitar in this video.

    • @SteveSchuffert
      @SteveSchuffert 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Problem is likely in the nut. Needs a little work. Take it to a good tech, I had the same issue. Use some nut lube, stretch those strings out good. You might still have some tuning issues, but it’s not crippling. Nature of the beast. A Tele is about the only Gtr that’s near immune to tuning jumping.
