I ordered a shirt from them like 6 months ago. After a few months, it didn't come, so I commented on a post that Daniel (drummer) made in a shoegaze group and then he reached out to me and made sure it got shipped. Super nice guy.
Dude has his guitar covered with stickers for that Texas mega gas station. I went to one on a visit there, and they had like 300 gas pumps. The store itself was absolutely massive, like the size of a Walmart Superstore.
Drummer and the band is pretty Chill. The Drummer recommended at cymbal company that isn't very well known but their performance is exceptional when comes to sound and performance.
It's nice to see that they're actually good players. I thought her description of Pflugerville was funny. It's basically a northern suburb of Austin--definitely not in the boonies, and not quite as far as Round Rock (where the Dell computer plant is/was). I suppose if you take I-35, it could take you 40 minutes. It's only 15 minutes from downtown, though. That's how crappy Austin traffic is most days.
Not to be an armchair sound guy, but the mixing on this isn't that great. Guitar too soft, Alex's vocals and bass are too loud. Also what's up with the micro delay on Elliot's mic? Drums sound amazing, though!

NO JOY has been like that too. i dont remember if my bloody valentine sounded good live. shoegaze just does not seem to translate well. search nowhere live by ringo deathstarr on youtube and there is a sessioin that does sound good...they have a plastic wall around the drum set to blcok out noise. it sounds awesome.

Been a great experience man.

he's definitely using the eventide h9 control app, at 1:24 you can see the h9 on the right side of his pedalboard and 11:39 looks like the main menu of the app to me. not sure what specific effect he used but he probably just uses it to change presets.
The singer gal sounds like Wing. Wing is that odd Chinese lady that lives in Australia and does unintentionally hilarious covers of songs. Wing's "Highway to Hell" is worth checking out.
The music performance is awesome, ok the vocals didn't quite happen IMHO. Sometimes these radios sessions don't translate!! Talented and down to earth band. Love to see them live.
A great instrumental band but the "vocals" really drag it down. Everyone who knows me knows I seldom say "add keyboards" but here it would provide a little extra meat and texture and allow the guitarist to go a little farther out there.
