Thanks! I have to fix the latch on driver side 97 Wrangler. It sticks. Also, those frame mounting bolts are still stuck. Have new step bars to install and still can't get those bolts out. Bummer! Great video tho!
Question for the side mirrors bolt are they supposed to go thru the whole door, because when I took the previous owner mirrors it looked like they broke inside the hole don't know if that's correct or not

So I did all this and ordered a new latch for my 97. What the sent me was the exact same latch except for one piece on it and I can't make it fit. Been trying to find a used latch everywhere without luck. This was on my full door driver side. Now the latch on my half door passenger side no longer works. Any advice?
Can you cover the external handle and the spring in it. Mine seems to have a broke spring so kind of flops around a little. I am talking about the outside door handle. Thanks for the video's.
People typically buy a new one if it's bad enough. But, if I can find a spring that a close enough match, I'll see what I can do for ya. Have a great day!

Yes they are very pricey!! I bought the doors and top at the same time. Fella was scrapping out a CJ. The top had some issues so I got it really cheap. I also have an old early 80s CJ top that was given to me cause he was moving to a different house and needed it gone. Have a great day man!!
Where does one get the little nylon clips on the rods? Dealer only?
If one buys a new latch do the nylon clips and rods come with it?

update: Went to 5 different auto parts stores before finding door latch rod holders. They even look like the right size. In Mesa AZ, Space Age Auto Paint. They have a huge selection of panel clips, retainers, plastic whatsits etc.
Do you have a brand/part number? I am also looking for a replacement door lock rod clip as one of mine broke. Dorman makes a variety of them but their website claims they aren't compatible with my 1993 Wrangler (parts look identical...) Thanks!
I am looking for the e-clip and metal bracket that goes on the back of the door lock that the rod goes into as seen at 7:53 in this video. Does anyone know where to get these?
I later found that I could get these clips at the auto parts stores in the "Help" isle in those little plastic packs that hang on the pins. The bracket .. ebay maybe?
