Sir Penrose is a great educator and will be always be through continual time and he will be taken seriously. He has added so much to the inquiring mind that’s not going away
I read the book “The emperor’s new mind” by Sir R.Penrose, it’s most fascinating. Though I’m not a physicist or a computer scientist, I’m a big believer in science but I’m very dubious about AI and it’s impact on people.
I understand the argument, but I don't consider it to be significant. Humans also struggle solving tiling problem, only few people manage to get correct result there.
I would like to believe this But sounds something g science could answer in some time And what you say is a bit far fetched It sounds good but does it make sense ???
Even the best humans can only solve *some* tiling problems. No human can solve all tiling problems. Same thing with computers. Computer algorithms can only solve some tiling problems. They can't solve all tiling problems. So even the best humans have the same limitation as computers. The argument demonstrates nothing about the supposed superiority of humans.

Trust me. A calculator has this man’s name written within and without. What’s AI gonna do? Surpass a calculator or demand that it’s too outdated K
