Always enjoy listening to Roelof's interview. Great insights and yes, there something calm in his communication style that many other in the tech scene don't
A key point for many investors not traders that Roelof makes is for us we are long term partners in the companies we invest in. Companies share prices go up and down all the time which can cause some investors to make decisions based on fear and losing site of why they invested in a company in the first place versus reason and long term commitment to the companies the believe in. If you have done through research even if you haven't bought at a low valuation never sell at a lose if you are a long term investor and believe in the company, only if the fundamentals have deteriorated for some reason. I have known people who have sold at losses just due to stock price volatility buy and hold if believe in your investment thesis.
Shu, South African accent doesn't shake off easy! Great to see you on camera Roelof 🇿🇦

It's a South African thing lol
It’s a schtick that a lot of VCs have, they play the glib cool headed sociopath while doing deal memos for Sam Bankman Fried
@sigvardskrongorns8547 it's a South African thing. We're easy going.

He is calm and intelligent, makes me think of Brookfield's Bruce Flatt. Both excellent business visionaries
I really really Like this Guys Simple Answer about Fundamentals. Total Bad Ass. 💵👍📈
Wow. This was brilliant
What was brilliant about investing in FTX exactly?
How was that FTX investment tho
Enables you to hang on 2 and 20 for longer you mean.

You had? Come on, D knows. 🎉
D doesn’t want valuation, D wants realized cash.
After the investment memo Sequoia did for Sam RATman Fried, I completely lost respect for their current senior management, including Roelof
A classic shameless narcissist who invested in FTX yet still claims to be honest and trustworthy and shows his face in public…
These are the idiots who "loved this founder" Sam Bankmanfried as he literally played video games while on a call with Sequoia.
😂
