The Dolphins and Patriots' unexpected, miraculous ending in 2018 deserves a deep rewind

  • If you ever feel bad about yourself, just remember that Bill Belichick left Rob Gronkowski on the field in a Hail Mary situation against the Miami Dolphins that wasn't even possible. With seven seconds left in the 4th quarter and the ball at their own 31-yard line, the Dolphins found themselves down five points against the New England Patriots in a 2018 divisional matchup. That deep in their own territory, the Dolphins needed to pull off nothing short of a miracle to get a win. What happens next, is something that’s never been done before in NFL history. To fully appreciate this historic moment, you have to understand everything that led up to it. And to do that, we gotta rewind.

if you want to take this full circle, the person who decided to put Gronkowski back there was current Dolphins headcoach Brian Flores as he was the playcaller for the Patriots

As a Dolphins fan, this play actually destroyed our season!
That Patriots upset on the final play pretty much felt like their Super Bowl, and it massively went to the players heads cause the very next week they got rocked 41-17 to the Vikings.
Then lost 17-7 at home to a 4-10 Jags team led by Blake Bortles.
Then a rookie Josh Allen just pummeled them on the final day 42-17.

I know that it pretty much just happened, but you should do a deep rewind on Tyler Matzek's 3 straight strikeouts in NLCS Game 6 with 2nd and 3rd, nobody out, and 2 former MVPs up to bat. Matzek's story is something even Hollywood writers would find unrealistic, and it's fitting that Atlanta, a hard luck franchise, would be the beneficiary of a man recovering from very severe yips.

Tyler Matzek would have been the NLCS MVP if it wasn't for the heroics of Eddie Rossero. Tyler Matzek was dominant in this past year's postseason. Braves had a rental of a World Series core which replaced the normal core that got banged up by injuries and legal troubles.
With long overdue CBAs negotiations going on, it may delay the start of the regular season.

I was at this game with my brother and his family, were all diehard patriots fans and when i tell you this game broke our hearts, it did. we were fresh off a great cruise, and went right to the game after doing good gambling in the hard rock casino. Than all of a sudden this heartbreaking moment happened. Never will forget this day. (as well as the food area giving me a black bean burger instead of my normal cheeseburger, disgragizad.)
