  • Here's my review of the most important upgrade you can make to your Traxxas Slash 2WD.
    Parts used:
    TRA2542 - 4x12mm flat head screws
    TRA2587 - 3x10mm cap head screws
    TRA3938 - 4x14mm button head screws
    TRA5831 - LCG lower chassis
    TRA5832 - LCG chassis (black)
    TRA5833 - LCG nerf bars
Traxxas also provides some nice instructions for the conversion:

Thanks for the part list, I am planning on converting to LCG and wanted the black chassis. I was gonna buy the kit + the black chassis so this will save me money!

Great upgrade..I did mine a year ago and drives 100% better. I run mine at an indoor track here in San Jose (NorCal Hobbies).
Use AKA tires pretty much slicks by now...lol. Used front RPM arms to help the offset issue.
Unfortunately I used the blue chassis since it came with all the hardware but I really really need to convert it to black. Your right blue looks off...not a good look for a chassis.
Great videos on the Slash..great work.

Just a tip. You might want to screw the servo link in on the top of the steering bellcrank and not the bottom.

The only issue I see if you have to extend the motor wires.

The conversion kit includes 2 front springs too.

I'm not 100% sure, but if I remember correctly, they come with bearings.

    Just a quick FYI...
Your parts list needs fixed a little bit. The last three items have the 2nd & 3rd numbers transposed.
