They bleached it to reach the ashy color if you want your hair to be ashy you have to bleach it unless it becomes orangey brown

I thought doing foils and then toning it an ashy colour would be a way better, less damaging way of achieving that colour...

i could really relate to ur hair struggles lol.
i’m naturally blonde but i wanted to go a bit lighter for summer and went to a hair salon for the first time to get highlights. i told the hair stylist what i wanted and said that i didn’t want it to be yellow or look unnatural. so she put a toner on my hair after bleaching it and it turned out soooo ashy. i honestly looked like i had grey hair. it got better eventually but i’m still annoyed that i spent so much money on it 😵‍💫
