For me, it's my campaigns. I like the idea of creating templates.
PS: not related, but.. for my house cos, I have a large section where watering so my garden is a big time-consuming choir. I have a watering system in place now to free up my time, so my garden waters automatically every day.

When I started systematizing, I got overwhelmed because I was trying to do a system for EVERYTHING. That’s a no go! After I started to only create systems for “important” tasks then it became sooo much easier. After all the major systems were documented, we started to work on the smaller less important tasks and optimizing. We’re still in the process but I would say probably about 70% there. Great info in this video!

For our service business of 17 years, our first system was the steps that each new job takes. So for example for new construction jobs, remodels or service calls each type of service has certain steps we follow for consistency and to get things done quickly without dropping the ball. Our next system, was how to bill or invoice for each type of job and how quickly that happens. (The faster we do this part the sooner we get paid so it was in our best interest to do this fast.) Our next system that we created was a schedule to keep on top of all the jobs. And the next was how to hire the right people. Then we had to set up a payroll system. We also had to organize our materials for each job and how to purchase them for the lowest cost.

Excellent! The capture then document is so helpful. Sometimes we jump right in trying to document where it can become a headache. Capturing it first takes that headache away. It puts the process into one encapsulated space that we can go back to over and over until we have it properly documented. Thank you!

The day to day of the business would always take over so I would never start until now. As I have started to archive our systems into one place I realize we do have quite a bit collected. You’ll always monitor any system and automaton you use.

How are you connecting the people to the system so they know what to do? As you will have tons of systems but which order do they do them in and how does the worker know? Do you have a separate document that goes step by step for what systems the job is responsible for? Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

I’ve done videos on how to train and onboard team members. It’s a combo of that and then knowing the system.
There are only a handful of systems a business really needs.
I’ve also talked about death by SOP. Most people over document.
Every biz is different. So until I understand yours my feedback would be too general

@@gregoryjhickman I watched your video on organizing your systems and I have it structured such as Marketing & sales division, administrative, and fulfillment. Would you only put very important things as systems such as - New Brand Launch System, Email marketing system, Media buying system, Customer retention system

Hi, I have been trying to build a system for a advertising business. But the problem I am facing is the things I don't know. How do I create a system for a particular task or job that I hv no idea about? I hv to spend time on research, study which takes lot of time

      1. Systems are captured not created. So, if you don't have a process for doing it and don't know you need to 2) Borrow someone else's system to start and then make it your own.

@@gregoryjhickman I saw one of your video about borrowing from someone you know. But what if you don't have one. Do you need to hire someone and then capture? Or how does this work any reference video, book or link I can learn from?

@@jaykkyawal2215 The fastest way is to pay someone that has the system. That might be a consultant or coach, maybe a course.

Hello. My father runs a pizza store. Can I still schedule a call if it isn't related to agency or consulting business?

Hey Chris. We wouldn’t be the best fit for a pizza store unfortunately.
