- It's time for another Walt Disney World Resort Staycation! Today we are at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside. I get to experience my first time fishing at Disney. Seriously tho someone needs to explain who these mouses are to me. LOL

Yes - port Orleans French quarter is a different resort stay there too! It’s their sister resort but they have some different theming

The theme is gorgeous and most importantly Bob Jackson is an absolute LEGEND!
My absolute favorite resort for our family vacations.

French Quarter is definitely a different resort! I think you’ll enjoy it - a more intimate property with a New Orleans theme and beignets!!!!!
Riverside is one of our all time favorites.
The resort grounds looked beautiful in the video. It looked like the perfect place to walk around & chat if the weather was nice. It doesn’t even look like Disney on the outside.
French quarter is smaller. I love it. I always stay there. It’s lots better than riverside.
The two mini Mickey's are his nephews. Their names are Morty and Ferdie.
Fishing at Disney is a totally hidden gem. Especially the guided bass fishing. The guides help you with everything. Its a very cheap cost, and you catch some MONSTER fish right outside the magic kingdom! We do it every trip now.
Omg, how can you not know about River Roost and Yehaa Bob?!?! You definitely have to check out his show there, he plays Wednesday-Saturday. Glad you had fun and we loved this resort!!
POR is my home resort! I love it for same reason that is very quite. Love at night getting back from the parks is so quite and crickets 🦗
I’ve only gone to riverside once in 2016 and loved it. It is so peaceful and yes you feel like you’re not in Disney… I’ve stayed at several resorts but riverside is my favorite. Hopefully my family and I will be staying in July again. Very nice vlog jojo!
POR is one of our favorites! So peaceful. Last time we were there it was during hurricane Ian and the staff was great!
I stayed a alligator bayou my last trip, and got to do the horse ride and walked in the stables and saw some horses inside and met Tiana and Naveen it was nice 😊
I’m literally staying here tomorrow, what a crazy coincidence. Last time I stayed here was in 2011 so ALOT has changed

Port Orleans Riverside was called Dixie landing when is was first open.
The boat to Disney springs is definitely one of the best perks of port orleans.

Yes French Quarter is a different resort! They are “sister resorts” so guests can use the facilities at either of them, but they are separate. We like FQ much better than Riverside just simply for the smaller size. After walking all day at the parks, one bus stop and a short walk to your room is heavenly.
We've stayed at POR twice. It's my fav moderate👍 Hope you're having fun on the cruise😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Our favorite resort ever!!! Alligator Bayou is beautiful! French Quarter is a separate resort to stay. Remember it’s called fishing…not catching!!😂
I've stayed at this one a few times and French Quarter once. I really like how relaxing these resorts are. I'd say for sure they are 2 different resorts, but still sister resorts. They are very close and I think can share in using the amenities. At Riverside I stayed in one of the princess rooms one time for my birthday and it was LOVELY! Going to be staying at FQ again in a couple months. Looks like you enjoyed your one night stay!
French Quarter is one of my favorites!! If you like New Orleans, Jazz and Mardi Gras, you'll love it! Totally different then Riverside.

Jojo you found our secret!! Our family lives in Ohio and we have stayed here back when it was Dixie Landings and now Riverside. We love the size of the resort, it's quite, and has several pools. I believe it supposed to transport you to the Mississippi area.

It's been a while since we've stayed at Port Orleans Riverside. It's beautiful. The resort is enormous though so buses are packed and walking to the main building can be a long walk. Still, one of the most beautiful Disney Resorts.

Riverside is a very nice resort. I really prefer FQ. Smaller resort, but still one of the best. The boat ride to Disney Springs is a plus.

I just got pixie dusted from All Stars to this resort! I had to watch your video to check it out. I haven’t been in 22 years (first time as an adult) and it’s my 13 year old daughters first trip there. 40 more days. I’m so excited. I’m feeling the magic today for sure
What’s up JoJo? I actually stood at this resort for my 30th birthday present from my parents and we loved it. We would definitely do this again no doubt. We’re actually thinking of possibly going back this year but maybe a different resort and just for a couple of days. Hopefully it’ll happen. I can’t wait!!

I've stayed at 2 WDW resorts: Pop Century and one of the All Stars (Both twice). It's nice to see the resorts that weren't close by.
One thing I loved about the resorts is how much there is to see and the things you can do there. My friend and I went for the Marathon weekend for a few years and the resorts are easy to use as a place to run or wander and relax.
Biggest drawback: There aren't sidewalks from one resort to another or to the parks. It would have been nice to walk to and from different places rathe than relying on transportation.
You’ve done the best resort tour of this resort! This is my “home” serpent. Most people don’t go to Alligator Bayou, they stay at Magnolia Bend.

You can't stay at Port Orleans Riverside without catching a performance of Yeeha Bob at River Roost. That's one of the highlights, if not THE highlight of staying at the resort. If he wasn't performing that evening then you should have booked a night when he was there. You said you hadn't stayed there before, but have you seen his show?
My wife and I have stayed at all the monorail resorts and Wilderness Lodge. We usually stay at Port Orleans Riverside each October for the Halloween party. Last time we did a split stay at POR and WL. This year, we're going to the Christmas Party and staying at Wilderness Lodge the first week of December. Pro Tip for POR: Get a preferred room (building 14) and you have about 100 steps from your room to the food court and a short walk to the bus.

I have no idea how many stay cations you’ve done vs how many Disney resorts. I think ugh, more work. But I think you need to make a playlist tab. One playlist tab for “staycation” videos. All in one tab. And a separate tab for “Disney resort” . Thank you for your content

You , Kyle and the girls should go the the River Roost when Bob plays. I’m not sure if he plays anymore but if he does, it’s absolutely amazing! The last time i was there was 2019 before..yeah. But so worth it. Arrive semi early so you can get great seats because he is legendary!
