Iv'e been sober for coming up on 4 years in August, and people like you much more when you don't try to get anyone to stop or change what they like to do.I really don't care if people drink around me, I don't even think about it anymore.. Like Steve-O said I still enjoy talking about the glory years of drinking, I just have no desire to re visit doing it anymore is all. Sobriety is fucking amazing, sounds insane but it really is.

@ get a vaporizer, man! I haven't smoked in 2 years and my lungs feel WAYYY better! You can even work your way down on nicotine level. I started at 6mg now I'm at 3mg and sometimes I use 0mg. I know it sounds douchey, but I swear you'll feel so much better if you just make it past the first week of only vaping. Then you'll barely even miss it, and cigs will start smelling gross.
@ in the end it all just came down to a simple decision for me to cut out all my vices.. what positive has any of it done for my life or my health in any way?

I like to think I could be a decent comedian but I hate performing in front of an audience. I have been doing standup routines in my head while in the shower since I was about 12, just in case I end up on stage somehow. Cool thing is my son is 5 and he is hilarious and loves telling jokes, he does little routines on FB for our friends and relatives. I feel kinda like a stage parent when we are filming tbh, but he wants to do it. He wants a TH-cam channel but that makes me a little nervous.
Bro just start doing stand up once things open up again. The audiences will be really small cause of social distancing so you could just go to a small local open mic and build your confidence.
Look for musician open mics cause people do comedy and read poetry at those too. Just some foood for thought 💭. It’s never too late to start
