Awesome video! I'm in new York right now 😁 We walked across Brooklyn Bridge today and spent the day in Dumbo, absolutely loved it there. It was raining Sunday, so we went to Grand Central Station and The World Trade Centre Museum.

I started watching this channel since buying my tickets two weeks ago. I find it so interesting and useful! I’m going to ny for my first time on the one year anniversary of surviving testicular cancer so the beginning of this video was quite the surprise. Congratulations on your recovery and thank you for sharing.
Always good advice, Jon. Always good food and a show of any kind for a great rainy day. And how I miss those book stores. Especially the old, old ones I used to shop at during the day. As for Grand Central...So sorry I didn’t get your advice back then. I used to just run in and out there. Never taking the time to explore that GRAND Landmark. Truly magical and seems you will never go hungry.

We loved the New York Public Library when there in mid April, & of course, my 24 year old son had to go to children’s library which I can say was very interesting, & everyone should check it out! I’m dying to go to the transit museum next time I go to NYC! Thanks for such great videos. I want to go back so badly but got to save up the funds$$$.

my favorites: The Angelika, The Uncommons for an akward first date, Macy's, Winnie the Pooh Bear at the library ( I worked at this attraction at Disney and didn't know about it, how special!!) and The Transit Museum. Thanks for your videos!!
Congrats on being cancer free, my husband will be 5 years cancer free from throat cancer in October, we hope to be in New York to celebrate!! Our whole agenda is based on your videos!!!

Jon, I came across your videos while researching our upcoming family vacation to NYC. My wife, youngest son and nephew and I will be there next Tuesday for a week of exploring and adventure. I have simply loved your channel! You travel the way I like to travel, seeking out the unique, the unusual, the affordable, the incredible neighborhoods and local life and food...not just the tourist highlights. Thanks for another great post Jon! BTW, haven’t tried Eataly in Manhattan... but have had some great experiences with Eataly location at the Pru Center in Boston. Still... for Italian (and especially pizza!) in NYC I’m going to stick with some of the “Mom and Pop” restaurants you’ve shown us in some of your other posts! Keep up the great work!
There are two Eataly locations in NYC... the first between 23rd and 24th st on 5th ave and the second at 4 World Trade Center ( my favorite). Prince St pizza , Joe's of Carmine, Bleecker St pizza, Ben's Pizza on Spring St, DiFara's on Ave J, Brooklyn, Two Boots pizza various locations around Manhattan, and a few great pizza restaurants among the 5 boroughs.. Do your due diligence on www.yelp.com pizza.
Haha living in England we're used to rainy days. Although we'd tend to just sit in a warm cozy pub all day if it's raining! Would lvoe to come see NYC!

i was in NYC in March it rained the whole time. I loved it. I wasn't cold the streets were less crowded and most of the Scammers/Hustlers were not bugging me for anything. I'm going back in October to see Billy Joel at MSG again. Thanks for the video's they have been a big help.

I do want to say for cheap broadway tix broadwayforbrokepeople is another great place to look too. Playbill keeps a list of both Broadway and Off-Broadway and their respective theatres' SRO and rush policies (which is another cheap way to get Bway tix!)

The book store and museum satisfied me. Even if I am a resident of the NYC.
We were in NYC last week-first time. Ate pizza under Brooklyn Bridge at Juliana’s-so good! Went to Central Park and 911 Memorial. Sarge’s Pastrami on rye was good. Best Bagel &Coffee on 35th was so good!! We only had one day to do anything.Wish we had more time to go to an independent book store. Love your videos Jon

As non New Yorkers, the family was looking to rest our feet for a bit so we went to the Paley museum of TV/Radio and took some time to sit in the a/c and rest up before getting back to our walking. Good rest-stop. We could have stayed there so long but were only there on a pit stop

Im also a machinist so I love American history, and pizza. Anyway, Jon, I’m 45 minutes away from Chicago and NY city seems so much better. Any thoughts on this?

HaHa. Good timing on this video. Took a group of Philly friends to see Hudson Yards and we did the Circle Line cruise on Sunday and as you know, it rained all day. We had purchased the tickets a month ago. By the way, om your recommendation went to Los Tacos for lunch. Pretty good. Not 100% sure but I think Daniel Jones was behind me in line. I'm not one to ask for autographs.

I have trip to NY in 05/26 to 6/3. What weather this time?
Try image anime, it’s a mecha for Japanese goods especially Gundam models as there is a giant wall of them just there. I bought two really good ones from there worth the trip. Look in the back they have arcade machines that are only found in japan. They also have Rare SH figurarts that aren’t available in the states. Midtown comics is also a good place to stop in as it is a rather large comic book store which is saying a lot for Manhattan. There is some good stuff out there so look around. I believe image anime is towards the Bowery in Chinatown but I forgot exactly where and midtown comics has 4 locations you’ll have to find the location you like I myself like Times Square which is the largest.

So with the uncommons I found their manager to be very rude. Also during the pandemic, the employees would yell to put your masks back on; even between Wine sipping and eating. Just not the boardgame spot i reccomend as a native New Yorker. I recommend Hex & Company!
