That elderly man was so sweet! He has a lot of work ahead of him. I wanted to go help him! It was so kind of you to buy his records.
They seemed like a super sweet couple. Sometimes you can just tell when somebody is good people
You were so nice to the older couple. Old Grampa wanted to talk. Lol. You were very respectful. Warmed my bitter heart 💗.
Such a nice old fella!
That older couple probably thought the same about you being such a nice person. Love watching you find cool things.
The original lawn darts are highly educational. They teach kids how to manage risk.
Everything being made so safe that people have zero common sense and anything that IS OR ISNT labeled, they still will get angry and sue. Oh my kid threw a rock at my other kids head....sue the park they're at. Like going to be banning gravel soon enough because kids will be eating it and dying.
They poosifying men
The dog turd comment got me hahahah
That's why I love watching you, you're such a gentle, kind ,and honest person and thats real hard to find now a days. Keep up the great videos. 👍🏼
Hahah thanks so much!
I loved the " bucket of turds" comment also
Just watching your videos shows me that old people doing yard sales are the nicest and sweetest people you could meet.
The lady, "I'm here!" When you didn't really go through the records in the garage, I kind of figured you were being nice to the elderly couple because that's the kind of man you are. :) It really pleased him that you wanted them. So sorry I missed the "live." :'(
Thanks! Yeah, they were so nice I was definitely paying for the experience at that point!
You are very sweet a gentle giant that’s why I watch much success to you.
That lady was too funny!
Growing up with lawn darts my sister stuck one in the siding of our house and another time we had a lawn dart pierce the lawn chair webbing next to me. Yes we had some close calls but they were so fun to play with! 😉 We also had the paper cap guns, one time I spent hours scraping the powder out of several rolls of caps until I probably had a half of teaspoon of powder in a plastic bag. When I hit this powder with a hammer I’m not sure who was more excited me or my parents!💥💥
Hahah! I miss those caps!
It's amazing how many of us still have all our digits.
we used to hit the paper caps with a lighter, fun times
Me and my family are going camping today and I packed my some a cap gun with the paper rolls of caps! Gonna be good times lol!
As a child who was always "bored" and never had enough "chores", my friends and I used to take the paper cap gun rolls, unroll them, bend them back and forth into a Z shape so that all the circles of gunpowder were on top of each other. We had done this before, but not on this scale. For additional fun & games we stuck a firecracker in the middle so we could light the fuse and "in theory" get away. GENIUS, right?! After all that work it was around 6 inches tall, before the firecracker. To keep it from unfolding itself we set a rock (appx. 3"x4:") on top. That is where we went wrong... You know, it seemed harmless enough... Please remember, the prefrontal cortex of the brain doesn't fully develop until your mid-twenties. Therefore, it wasn't our fault, but our parents for not watching us closer. 😇🤣👺 When we lit the fuse in my DRIVEWAY it nearly deafend us right off the bat,. I thought the rock literally flew so far away that we wouldn't find it. About the time my hearing was coming back, I'm surveying the scene, and starting to think we were probably in trouble for the noise. Suddenly the rock comes crashing down through a tree that covers my driveway. Of course it headed directly towards our new car's windshield. Giant/ crack/chip/spider in the glass. While the rock was crashing through the tree it knocked a dead limb lose which hit my two year-old neighbor girl square in the face and knocked her right on her ass. Before we could react, angry adults came swarming, just like wasps do if you disturb their nest. About the time we had the scene under control, a police officer and two fire trucks pulled up. Someone had reported an "explosion" in the cul-de-sac. I remember crying so hard for a day or two, maybe even for the six weeks I was grounded for. Why six weeks you ask? I got one week for every hundred dollars of damage we did. Lessons were learned that day!
I’ve told you this, in my comments before, but you’re such a genuinely nice, caring person! It’s obvious in the way you speak to people and treat them! It makes me want to watch every, single video you’ve ever made! I just found your Channel, a week or so ago….. and I just adore you! Please know that there is a total stranger, in North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, sending you and your family lots of love & positivity! Thank you for such wholesome, fun, knowledgeable content! I hope the Karma gods & goddesses bless you beyond anything the mind could imagine! You. Are. Awesome!!! 🥰🥰🥰
The fact that you bought the stuff from the couple because "they were about the nicest people i've ever encountered" is A+, top notch. I'd have done the same. Good on you. Plus that metal LP holder is awesome along with that "pants" 7" box.
My grandpa had that exact tackle box at 2:44! Brought back a lot of memories seeing one of those.
I felt like you were walking through my childhood. We had the yard darts, no one ever got hurt. Of course, if we had hurt each other, we would have had to answer to dad. Great find!
I think it was mostly adults playing when a kid ran into the target area for most of the fatalities.
Bless your Heart! You buying from the elderly gentleman was so kind! 🌹
I’m glad you bought the shell art. They are real collectible now. That one you have is sweet , it’s pretty.
That lady liked you , she was sharing all her ailments There a really nice couple. Moving to Florida , wish them the best.
Everybody loves Anthoney. Even the dogs. ☺️
I collect vintage flamingo shell creations. You picked up a beautie!
Froggy, this is the first video I've seen of yours, I can tell from you're giving the lady the extra dollar that you're a great person!
$140k for that house. I'd abandon Costa Rica and suffer winter for that! And those racks of tape decks -- 😘
Great characters in this video, dadgumit 😉 👍👍
Do you know the location? State?
@@tiktokly4188 Indiana IIRC
I'd suffer winters...
No man, no you wouldnt. winters are unbearable in the north.
Seriously! I would leave California in a heartbeat for that kind of property.
Where in Costa Rica are you man Pura Vida!!
I thought it was so nice of you to buy those records. You were very kind.
Rare find those lawn darts I remember playing with them years ago, good fun 🥰 ,nice bunch of old records nice stuff 👍 Anthony 👍👍🤠
That was fun! I love that they were moving to Florida at their age!
Thanks for watching!
I live in Florida. Everyone moves here when they're their age...lol
Sarasota's really nice too
I'd Love to find those children's records in a sale! I grew up listening to stories from records, (we didn't have a t.v.), and I'd love to introduce my grandkids to them. Also, I Love old people. They are usually blunt, honest and totally real with you.
I'm always amazed at some of the beautiful home we visit picking through yard sales and barns etc. That sale where you picked up the yard darts was amazing!
That elderly couple was lovely- then I realised that I had a similar 45 collection to them - now I feel old….
I'll bet you would've loved to pick his garage. I saw some really cool things. What a great couple. I hope they have a lomg, happy life in Florida. OOOH....I saw Pat Boone, Robert Goulet and Frank Sinatra. Mom used to play those on the Hi-Fi when I was growing up. Thanks for the memories.
Saw a couple PVM monitors in that broadcasting gear. Those would have been an epic pickup if they were color and RGB ready.
You are so sweet! I just love that couple and would love to sit with coffee and chat, they seem like they have some great stories to tell. Thanks for sharing!!
You are so easy to get along with, real nice to the elderly
The Disney records took me back! We had the huge console stereo/record player and I’d listen to those records for hours!
You are such a great guy. So sweet & polite. Love watching you. A breath of fresh air
Thanks so much!
Oh it set my teeth on edge, all those vinyl records being scratched together with no sleeves! But what a great guy, so positive for the future in their new home.
140K for that piece of land and two houses? That would have been a nice property to buy live in one house, and use the other house as an reseller fort.
Totally!
What state are you in?
when we were kids the Lawn Darts had just came out and a neighbor kid had a set. We used to sharpened the tip on a grinder and throw them at the back of his garage like throwing knives....or at least till his old man found out....lol
Haha, dang!
I used to have most of those records. When I was like 13 14 I was in a group called Junior Grange and we used to have what we called back then discos every Saturday night for the kids. And that was our DJ's records and stuff like that. Good memories
I just love meeting interesting people at what we call Garage Sales in Australia.
They're called that here in the USA too, garage, rummage, yard sales, all the same. Depends on where in the country you are what you might call it. Might be some other names I've left out, too.
Families pets and homes are beautiful blessings always
I’ve said it before as many repeat me, you are the most kind, honest and respectful reseller on TH-cam! Coming from Juan below who I believe is man
that’s an incredible compliment! I believe your parents should be very proud of the job they did, maybe we can meet them some day. Your family is the lucky to share your love! Keep them coming and love ya! 💖
How adorable was the older gentleman? 🥰🥰🥰 You definitely couldn't say no to him.😉 And, I'm shocked 😯he had some pretty cool music!!! 💿🎵🎼 😆 Foreigner and Cheap Trick??? 🎸 WHAAAT? And, JARTS???? 🎯 That was crazy!!! Very fun... thanks for sharing! ❤
wow lawn darts are great I had some growing up in the mid 70's. I used to take my sisters doll and just play target practice
Wow the record rack in its own is a great piece!
Yeah, that was really neat!
Yes Froggy u are a very nice guy and a decent man! U helped that nice gentleman and u were down right nice!!! I hope that God blesses you with health and good fortune! Your mom raised you well.
Your hat!!! #jealous 🥰 That man was “tickled pink”. Made my day! 🙂
Its refreshing to see the prices of lego at a price that you can buy it and move it on with a nice margin .Over here its always priced at online prices . Thanks for sharing Anthony :) Hold on Tight to your dreams !!!
Something banned for sale as a kids toy does not make it illegal to sell unless it was deemed a hazardous material..mercury, H2S04 etc. Love the content as usual!!
Gosh so many things I would have wanted lol. At the first yard sale I saw a nice basket of yarn I would’ve definitely bought. At the 3rd yard sale, definitely the vintage sewing machine with table (they really don’t make sewing machines like they used to) and that vintage typewriter.
I bought a set of "Jarts" lawn darts just as they were going off the market. They are 100% safe IF used properly. However, too many irresponsible people made it bad for the rest of us.
Everything is 100% safe if used properly
"Hold my Beer"!😂😂
Yep. I remember throwing them when I was seven years old. We have a family photo of the set on our garage shelf back in the late 60s when I was having a birthday party in there. Would love to find one matching that someday.
Still have our lawn darts (Jarts) with the hoops and the box! Told my 25 year old son they’d be fun to play… he said “no way those look lethal” lol we never got hurt playing them!
I love how you touch everything so gently. Its classy.
I Loved chucking lawn darts back in my youth.
Those weren't even the real lawn darts those were plastic flimsy knock-offs. The real ones were called Jarts and were heavy metal, a long steel screw rod through center, the fins were replaceable. We had a set when I was a kid in the 60's and it traveled all over the U.S. with us when were camping.
My mom had one of those shell things with the flamingo. I didn’t like it fifty years ago ... still don’t like but seeing it made me smile. I’ve never seen those Disney lps, cool. Your kindness shows in the thoughtful things you pick up for family & friends 💕
Thanks for being kind to the old gentleman.
Ya already know what I think about your channel, so happy to keep recommending. Today oh my, you bought the Pink Flamingo (tacky tacky😎)& I 👏. This is what I call my e-commerce business, with 3 !!! afterwards. Thank you for your kindness to the older couple who btw he gave his house away for $140k! May they live long enough for it to Pay all their bils🤞.
They were an interesting couple, colorful. Beautiful property. The 45"s were awesome, my music.
The little finger puppets are from Mr. Rogers's neighborhood.
He said to be on the look out for Mr. Roger's neighborhood puppets......and I am like.....that's what those are. ha ha. I grew up watching those puppets :)
That was a really cool sale with the old couple super friendly!
I love how the older generation, and I'm approaching that age, love to tell you about their ailments, so charming,🤕🤕🤕🤕
Thanks for not being 'That Guy'. The seller says, "those are $10.00". A-hole buyer / 'that guy', "I'll give you $3.00". Embarrassing, then brags online how much he made. Should say, here is what a cheap ass I am and what I screwed good people for. You being straight up and forward is appreciated and your demeaner is commendable. Thank you for your time.
I remember having those regrets when I was a kid!! Easily/mid 90s I believe!
He lives very close to us in Florida! We always use Sarasota as a marker to where we live in Florida! I’m just 2 towns south of Sarasota! How cool!
Sony PVM on the shelf in the garage is a find. Well worth the effort to lug it out of there.
I've seen that 'Slant-o-Matic Special' Singer machine go from $100 to $500. The case and machine look clean. There is a 3 position "Swing Needle" lever ABOVE the light and the Singer Badge (small) is located on the stitch lever plate instead of on machine's lower right front. The machine uses cams for decorative stitching. $30 stated was a give away.
Your such a lovely respectful man 😁👍I love watching your channel with your cute family from the UK. 🇬🇧
Well thank you so much!
Another UK subbie and Froggy fan! Hi. I'm in the UK too. X
@@CoastalCrafterUK hello 🙋♀️
Had lawn darts when I was young. Us 4 kids each took our turn at getting one to the body somewhere, then we got out an old board we used for a bike ramp and spray painted a circle on it and had one of us hold the board up and hide behind it and then the rest took shots at the circle with the lawn darts.
WOW! That old couple listen to that type of music-cool!
I developed a small collection of unsellables when i was pickin'. Jarts, old brass knuckles, ivory figures etc. The most dangerous thing i ever found was a ww1 timed mortar fuse, didnt know what it was at first, was shaking it next to my head listening to it, tried to twist the dials to set the timer, no idea if it had been disarmed or not, ya never know what you'll find lol, so be careful.
Omg...Lawn darts!
I think our set, with the box, is still in my parents basement. I'll have to take a look next time I'm over there.
Funny how we never thought they were dangerous while playing with them 40 years ago
Man that Infiniti in the drive way with the older man who sold his house was so clean. It was beautiful
Indiana looks like such a nice place to live. I thought it was funny when the guy said that he was moving to Florida, which is where I live.
You are such a kind picker!
I hope one day I can find a set of Lawn Darts again. My grandparents had them when I was growing up and they were so much fun.
I got a new in the box set.....Can't sell them on eBay, but.........
You're the best. so kind always!!!! Love ya!
I used to have the metal lawn darts as a kid, wish they still made them
Those people were nice. At the 2nd yard sale there was a kids cash register blue and red. If it has the yellow scale on top it is worth about $30.00 Preschool and Kindergarten teachers love them.
Aww, Froggy! I've done my share of "sympathy buys" too. Never made any money from them, so you're ahead of me!
Aww that older woman ❤️❤️🤗🤗
Awesome finds. That last couple were so nice and I hope they enjoy Florida 🥰 I live in Sarasota also. Thanks for sharing, Be Well.
Awww man I wish I could have been there. There was a beautiful pvm on one of those racks in the garage I would have snagged in a heartbeat
Sell it on FB or next door or offerup or 5miles or letgo. All easy to list and I'll bet you get multiple offers! Great find!
Nice old couple had cool stuff too
I had a set of lawn jarts with the box in my cart and a Goodwill employee snagged them out and said sorry they weren’t supposed to be put out. Man I hate that they ended up in the dumpster I’d bet.
Dang! Or at their house 😂
Loved the old dude bringing the chair out for his wife and saying ::here you go babe::❤️
Another great video foggy 👍🏻
That guy has quite the set-up in that server rack!!
It seems that old couple sold their house very cheaply to move on quickly. It seemed sad that they were selling everything. I do hope he has family that will help with cleaning out the garage and house. You bought a lot of his records which was very nice.
Lmao! IM RIGHT HERE! IM RIGHT HERE! That old ladys hilarious!
Before I even started watching the video, I knew you had found original lawn darts! 😂 played with those a lot when I was a kid I'm 36 now I miss those
I remember putting holes on our metal porch roof with lawn darts. I can't believe that was over thirty years ago.
Time flys
@@coobay4786 The last thirty years are a blur
LOVE the Flamingo thingy!!!!!
I picked up a lawn dart set at auction a few years ago. Don't remember if it was that one or another that had a set the auctioneer said "selling the box, you can have what's inside". They will do that when they have those unopened decanters too.
When I was a kid I had an old metal military jeep like that one. It was beat up and stripped down (missing pieces) but you could tell it once had a motor and stuff in it. It was cool, it paired well with my 2 full sized GI Joes the ultimately were responsible for me collecting the smaller 80's Joes for years as a kid. Eventually I sold them all and kinda regret it now but I got a good price even back in the late 90's. As I recall I had everything, and I mean everything up until the series that had the battleship and it was the only piece I didn't have. It was a killer collection by any measure but I really loved the detail of those antique full sized ones from generations earlier. :)
Those people were super sweet. I totally understand why you wanted to buy from them. :)
I love the old man. I loved how he said I'm tickled pink that you came by.
I have been looking for some law darts for a long time. As a kid we played theyball the time at the family reunion.
There is a really nice chair right behind you !
Those vinyl 45s would be valuable to a hip hop producer who likes to sample old records.
I have searched EVERY yardsale that I have seen for a set of Jarts !
I got a set of Jarts, in their original box, at a yard sale about 10-years ago for $5. They are a great conversation piece, and box has a warning on it which states they may be fatal.
I can't believe you missed that flip clock radio when you were talking to the old lady. Those things always sell well.
Dang, I noticed it and then forgot to come back to it!
@@FroggyFlips yup it happens to all of us sometimes
you really are such a nice guy. totally makes sense why you got away from the pawn shop life.
watching that guy handle the jeep is very funny! what SCORES!!!! A+ channel
*The original "lawn darts" were called "JARTS" and the flights on them slid up and down on the shaft when you launched them into the air. what you bought here were after market ones. they probably work just as well but unfortunately not the original ones. most of those record titles you went through walked me back through my childhood*
Anthony, you're an angel! And the patience of Job.
