I agree with the rotating brake caliper piston comment below. Total PITA! Stoopid design!! Mine won't even turn, with special tool. Rust has welded this piston in place, even after spraying inside boot with WD40. Only choice I see is whole new rear caliper at $368 (core charge included) from AZ. Thanks for the video though Jim!
Hi Jim I’m about to take on this task on driverside rear my concern is looks pretty rusted and brake on that side rear have been hanging up making noise on and. Off driving , concern is. What if piston is rusted up and I can’t turn with needle nose ? Cuz I can’t get that tool you have. And I can’t afford a shop to do it. Or buy a new caliper as they are priced high. I’ve already bought all 4 rotors and pads Any tips that may aid if piston seized and can’t turn in with needle nose ???
really appreciate this video, easy to understand and no bs. greatly appreciated!
Ty so very much!! 😘 U saved me a trip to the workshop & some Cash!!🙏🙏

Cool video thanks for sharing. I truly hope you have a Blessed Week.
Greetings and thanks for this post. Is it the same for a 2006 Kia Optima rear brake pads replacement??
Thanks for making this video. Great expert tips in here that made the job much easier.
I'm happy to help. Thanks for watching.
good video, but you should include more detail on the brake pad clips, it can be confusing for someone who has never done it before.
Thanks for the video...that saved me some $$$!

Thank you good job
what about the thin clips those are easy to put on but they make a little harder to set the pads in the caliper
They hold the pad in place so it doesnt slide around in the caliper
Didn't tell us about the caliper wrench needed to compress it
at 5:40, do they go clock wise or ccw?
Clockwise
The brake police are coming
rotating pistons are such a bad design, i have this on my car too.
Thanks for watching.
Maby get ur hand out of the way when u putting the pads on gotta watch a different video now
Are you joking. Maybe you should pay a mechanic if you could not understand the procedure. If you were close to my shop I would do it for you free
