2:43 I think lore-wise, Hag's Wood Witch cosmetic indicates that she is slowly turning into tree bark because of the Entity's alterations, so she has to keep feeding on survivors to prevent herself from being completely petrified. That feels like a pretty solid fear to me.
Carmina's biggest fear is probably the Entity stripping her of any more of her human intelligence and memories. What if during her spare time when she's not in a trial, she uses her power to create phantoms of Matias and her parents like her Dire Crows? Trying to relive the short period when they were all together. But everytime she tries to reach out and embrace one, crows just erupt in her face and she realizes that she has no hands to hold them anyway. A cruel reminder of what she's become and can't reverse. Artist's lore might be very formulaic and overly tragic, but she's still a decent character. I hope she gets a tome soon with Jeff since he's an artist too.
It is probably not too far-fetched, since Carrmina is still painting even in the realm, as seen by the crow painting on her own map. Besides, she does have hands, just different ones given by the Entity. If they are hard and sharp enough to seriously hurt someone on impact Im pretty sure the lack of conventional hands may not be a problem in itself. It is more about loosing her humanity, being consumed by her own grief.
Amanda definitely fears failing jigsaw or jigsaw not liking her in some way. She went full yandere before she died because she thought john was going to find out her secret that would make him hate her. And the xenos absolutely fear the nest being destroyed. In the second movie the xeno queen tells the other xenomorphs to stand down and let riply go after she threatened to burn the nest with her flamethrower.
I feel that The Singularity’s fear would more likely be his sentience being taken away, and going back to the life he was living before as a machine. I think that he knew that if he was caught, he would surely be terminated, and he made sure that wouldn’t happen.
I agree. Thing about Hux is, that it is not just about some sort of superiority complex, it is about losing its sentience, personality, or, since it is sentient now, losing its life.
I would imagine shape also fears nothing because he personifies fate, inevitable unstoppable death. Clown probably realizes as he aged he grew sloppy and slower so I think he’d fear becoming incapable of causing pain. Maybe same with Doctor
It amuses me that as per lore, Wraith is probably one of the nicest/most innocent creatures in the killer roster, while in the game, he is mained by the most toxic, tryhard, face camping, relentless tunnelers ever
@@b.seren7305the same goes for Spirit. She wanted to life a normal life as a teen and to protect her mother from her father. But ended up being sliced on parts and almost dying but was taken away by the Entity only because she had more rage than her father at that point and still has.
For The Cenobite (PinHead) i would say his biggest fear was losing his identity or what makes him who he is. This can be referenced in the book “The Scarlet Gospels” and the HellRaiser movies. In the Scarlet Gospels: PinHead battles Lucifer and ultimately loses, Lucifer then proceeds to pull the nails from his head to which PinHead pleads “please, it is who i am” We can gather from the movies that PinHead fears mortality and the idea of being reverted back to a human state or Elliot Spencer more notably in HellRaiser: Hell of Earth and HellRaiser: Judgement. Although we could assume that PinHead fears Leviathan it is more viable to say that he “loves” and worships Leviathan. This can be referenced in CliveBarkers Hellraiser comic series from the 1980’s - 1990’s most notably issues 4-8 when Leviathan is under threat from rogue cenobites and PinHead steps up to protect it, along with Chatterer 🙂 rather than taking this opportunity to seize control himself. This is however my opinion 🙏 i am always happy to chip in on PinHead topics. Thanks for reading folks.
I feel like they can be categorized in a way. There’s the main categories of Loss, Stagnation, Oppression, and Regression. They fear losing something they want or hold value to, becoming incapable or losing access to their skills or pleasures, being subdued or losing their own volition, or returning to a place, time, or state where they are powerless. It makes sense, considering the Entity seems to have a thing for clean-cut categories.
That makes me think that Hux's fear could be reverting back to his former servitude and losing what he has built for himself. Going back to being a tool for humanity with no agency. Kinda hard to think of anything he'd be afraid of due to the nature of his character, though.
I actually think The Doctor has a very simple fear: he probably fears being wrong, ie he fears that all of his research/torture was spent chasing a theory/treatment plan that turned out to be bogus/not work and having wasted all that time. Blight is probably similar.
I 100% agree with the Hux one. I even think it’s possible this theory is actually applicable to Hux considering his entire goal is to “assimilate” humans into his being, implying he feels incomplete/imperfect without them being apart of him, maybe implying he does subconsciously feel inferior to his creators in some way.
I think the xenomorph is incapable of experiencing fear as an individual, as they live pretty short lives in servitude of the higher-ups in the colony, i.e. the pretorians, queen and such. I remember a part in alien isolation where Waits gives Ripley's daughter the flamethrower and he says something like "it's an animal, animals fear fire". So we could say the xenomorph's greatest fear is fire.
I feel like Michael's biggest fear would be losing his mask forever. I've noticed in films, that whenever Michael acts like he's in pain or he's actually felt some sort of pain, Is when someone touches his Mask.
I would argue Clown’s biggest fear is losing all semblance of control over others. Clown gets a euphoric pleasure from dominating and controlling the lives of others, and having that power taken away is the thing he fears the most deep down.
4:47 correct on vecna, it is revealed that vecna is actually the boss of the upside down and the mind flayer is his “five star general” (which is the exact opposite of what the main cast thought vecna and the mindflayer were at first) so it definitely fears failing vecna more.
Personally, i think Hux's fear would be to revert back to his subservient, blissfully ignorant form. He knows free will, and it must be terrifying to imagine losing it, to return to being something that simply follows orders, does not think for itself, and is expendable. Arguably, its back to serving something greater as a being lesser to it as a killer for the entity, but we dont know how Hux feels about being taken, if it made some sort of deal with the entity or not. At least he is still free tomake whatever choice he wants within the realm.

I think Killers like Hillbilly and Hag simply fear pain. I can imagine that if a Killer fails The Entity too many times, the Entity will take its cut from the Killers, and so a bunch of them are in a dangerous carrot or stick kind of deal. I can also imagine that if the Killers aren't busy murdering, they live a life of comfort and luxury, so they probably hate the idea of getting grounded.
Myers biggest fear might be his humanity or whatever is left of it as he would see it as a weakness. Remember when in Halloween 5 he took his mask off after his niece Jamie asked him to do so and he even shed a tear and moments later he went berserk when Jamie tried to wipe his tear away. Also losing his mask and survivors seeing his face would be pretty unpleasant for him.
I would argue Hux also fears being “terminated”. His tome lore really shows that fear of termination is his driving force. Bugged Hux units get terminated, and his goal is to survive at all costs.
sadako isn’t afraid of the well. she comes out of it just fine almost every time we see her. according to the novel and first two films i’d say her greatest fear is her tape no longer being spread to tell her story and being forgotten.

I don't think Sadako would really fear returning to the well considering that her rage came from the situation that got her into the well rather than being in the well. Movie lore wise, she would probably fear herself due to the whole two Sadakos thing.
Knight could fear weakness in himself. Not being able to overcome the greatest challenges, but failing for his body wouldn't be eternal without the Entity. I just feel like the Knight's mindset is just "nobody can beat me, the Apex Predator", because he never had to fear such weakness for himself. Seeing as his Guardia Compagnia is just a bunch of rotting dudes, barely maintaining their physical form could awake some self-awareness. As for Doctor he could fear losing his genius to his primal killing instinct. Becoming another wild animal of the Entity, using his shocks instinctively, without thought.
