I love Loren and hope she wins or at least gets a record deal. Also, the upcoming K-pop concert will be in Las Vegas on March 16 and I'm making the drive to Vegas specifically because I want to see their performance and have seats in front of the stage. While I know Twice will also be there, my main motivation is to support VCHA as I'm a big fan and truly love their music. Also, check out the b side of their mini album with a song titled XO Call Me It is one of their best.
Hi guys, I love the two of you and I love your channel. I think they both got it right. I’m a 73 old man living in the United States. When I was a kid, the Wizard of Oz came on once a year and that was the only time you got to see it. Our family would gather around TV that night and watch it. I’ve always loved this song so much. I teared up through out the entire song, so I don’t think Mel B wasn’t entirely right, but what she was talking about is a moment. Simon has mentioned it many times. The show is about creating a special moment that makes everybody feel and connect. Many people have won the show based on that moment and people that were considered favorites have lost the show because they chose the wrong song in that moment. I think there’s one song, that at least in my mind, is screaming for Loren to sing. In her first performance She said that she was 34 years old And this might be her last opportunity to break out. I believe the song she needed to sing is “One Moment In Time by Whitney Houston. It’s not only a very powerful song that Loren could absolutely blow people away with but it would also deliver her personal message and makes us connect to her. It speaks directly to what she’s trying to do. Have that one moment in time when she’s more than she thought she could be. it gives me chills just thinking about what that moment would have been like. We would all be feeling her angst and desire, because deep down inside, we all want to have that moment. As much as I love Loren, and as much as I love Somewhere over the rainbow, I don’t think that song it was big enough to put her through to the finals. She needed to sing a song that was as big or bigger than Never Enough. There are very few songs out there that could do that. I hope I’m wrong.
That is a great suggestion if she gets to the finals, which will be tough. Only 3 of the 10 acts get through, and that includes 2 Golden Buzzers. That means only 1 of the remaining 8 can get voted through. As far as the song choice, I liked that it was a song everybody knew, but also everybody has sung it. Also, it should have been a little longer- it was more like a recap than a full song. But, she’s one of favorite 2 singers, so hoping…..
I think the voting system may ruin the semi-finals. Two Golden Buzzers make it all about the judges not the contestants so it would be easy for some of the best acts to miss out. Loren's performance was simply sublime ... hoping she moves forward.
Regarding Over The Rainbow, I’m a little torn over that choice. Yes, everyone knows it, but everyone has sung it. It was an interesting choice. Hope it pushes her through because it will be very tough. Only 3 of the 10 go to the finals, and there were 2 Golden Buzzers counting towards that. That means only 1 of the remaining 8 go to the final.
Who did you think got it right? Simon or Mel B?

I was thinking the same thing
When she belts she reminds me of Whitney. No in her tone but in the way her voice fills the entire space, so round, powerful and rich.
She is absolute perfection at its very best ❤

I am so glad they mashed up both versions of the song. I don’t think it would have been as memorable if it was just the Judy Garland version.
Loren ❤
WOW !!!!!!!!!!!
So Sydney Christmas did the same thing a few months later ?
Thank you, for remebering IZZY

I agree 100% with you. Out of 10 finalists only 2 are fan votes. Too much politics here.
