It is a principal city of the Deltona-Daytona Beach-Ormond Beach metropolitan area, which was home to an estimated 685,344 people in 2021. It is the third largest city in the Greater Orlando combined statistical area.
I lived in Deltona for 13 years. We had a screened in pool area as well. Reason is there are so many man-made lakes all over Florida that insects are running rampant!
It's a solid place to live! Been there for well over a decade :)
For a city of more than 90,000, low crime and good environment!
We just bought a home here. We’re excited to be joining the community!
Floridian here with screened in lanai pool....it's actually genius! It keeps debris out of pool, much less work! Bonus...keeps out bears, gators and most snakes...our mosquitoes are the size of bats...you'll still want a a candle or something to keep them away...way away!😊
It looks nice - I would probably be worried about flooding lakes and bugs lol
I lived in Deltona back in 2010 for about 9 or 10 months.. Didn't care for it that much because we didn't have a car.. And we stayed on the outskirts of Deltona at my Brother-in-law's.. But I would have liked it a lot more if I could've gotten around.. Because it's really nice down around there...
Cool tour! My guess would be alligators. Never seen one of those. Would it keep out snakes, too? That would be my greatest fear, snakes and gators. lol
Mostly because of the Mosquitoes ect. If you live close to a retention pond or Lake then Alligators will.
