I agree about Kauai. My wife and I took a photography workshop on Kauai, and it was fabulous. We flew and stayed for seven days, but the beauty of the Island was amazing. I have some amazing photographs, including one that won a contest and was displayed in a calendar. There are chickens and roosters everywhere. I mean, all over the place. I am jealous that you cruise out of New York City. You have access to visit far more destinations than we have in Galveston. Larry from Texas
Galveston is growing as a port! You are getting a lot of great ships there. I know they mostly go to the Caribbean and Mexico, but hopefully maybe as more ships come they will make some more interesting routes. We are lucky in NYC cause we have Caribbean, Bahamas, Mexico, but then also the southern states, Bermuda, and Canada. We also have transatlantic cruises which we would love to try soon!

Unfortunately my favorite port was Lahaina, Maui which was devastated by fire last year. Kauai was definitely a must do.
It is terrible what happened to Maui. Just Hawaii in general is amazing. We loved it all.
