I like how it was wrapped up. From the beginning it was pretty obvious they were always the ones causing an apocalypse over and over no matter what they did. An ending like this makes the most sense to me.
not for me, the whole wrapping up the timeline mess wit killing the main characters is so cliché and played out in all timeline related tv shows for example (Dark) another netflix original. Its just lazy writing for not wanting to explore more hence why the last season was also only 6 episodes but also think thats on Netflix not funding the show to continue I think. Having this ending just makes the whole series pointless they tried their hardest to stop the apocalypse which every season lead and built up to Mr. Hargreeves being the main bad guy who wanted to create a timeline for himself. It should've ended wit finally exploring Mr. Hargreeves motives and background, then ultimately stopping him having him the one who was causing all the apocalypses the whole time to create his perfect timeline.
@itzdannyboy2299 we already know Reginald hargreeves’s motives, though. He started all of this to save his wife and to have her back. He was just too short sighted or selfish to realize she never wanted to be saved. If the siblings stopped him themselves and went on to live in the perfect timeline, it goes against a lot of the show. They were never supposed to exist in the first place. Reggie’s marigold brought them into existence. Which, in turn, brought on a repeated cycle of causing an apocalypse, then having to stop it only for another apocalypse to happen again- because they’re not supposed to exist and it messes up the timeline. In season 2 it became pretty clear that wasn’t going to stop until something drastic happened, like how season 4 ended. The whole season kept mentioning sacrifice. It was basically the theme. Would it have been nice to see them living in an apocalypse free timeline, sure, but that seems cliche to me. It enjoyed the ending where they finally, successfully save the world and no one knows it.

Man I recently discovered your channel and I am loving all the shows you've done re-caps for especially the lesser known shows and I really like how you don't just gloss over stuff and actually explain what's going on in a video longer than like 20 minutes. I'm barely scratching the surface of the re-caps you've done but I can't wait to see them all as a lot of the shows you do are actually shows I've been wanting to watch but just don't have the time, really appreciate what you do and it's been getting me through work during a tough time in my life so thank you💯💯. P.S. It would be really cool if you started a recap for into the badlands on Netflix:)
I was so disappointed at the first episode that I came here to my fav channel and yeah WHOLE RECAP ALREADY? Superb because I'm curious about how it ended but don't want to waste 5h on what I feel is their worst season

You mean when he sacrificed himself to help stop the apocalypse in the 60’s? I thought that was really emotional and it usually takes a lot for a show to get me choked up/teary. So interesting how differently people can see things
