Yes, it will suck up the sand. I will make another version for the bottom of the aquarium with substrate/sand. Just wait for it... 🙏👍

I believe he's using double output air pump, but combined into one. If you have a one output or low pressure air pump, make sure the filter floss chamber doesn't go too high above the water surface. Alternatively, you can use his other method: th-cam.com/video/XLqacTSZZgY/w-d-xo.html
