Hello! A very useful and necessary device, especially when breeding fish, it is convenient to clean the bottom from waste products of fish fry. The main thing is that you can make such a device from improvised means! Thank you!👍
Great video, if this can pull sand that easily fish poop and partical will come more faster.. while cleaning fish poops after done just cover the suction pipe with hand before removing from tank
Use a bigger outer tube, or reduce the airflow, or maybe both. That will reduce the "power" of the vacume. If you can get it fine tuned enough, it should work as bio material will always be less dense than sand.
Re-attach bottom put a gauze filter on inlet and drill small airation holes in outlet pipe suspend in corner. Run outlet around bottom of the tank. Leave running to constantly clean water and airate the tank. Plus you clean less and can see when filter material needs changing
Aquarium co-op has a gravel vacuuming video. The trick is pretty simply but I don't know how to describe it due to my lack of vocabulary so I'll just link the video in a moment
You don't need the bottle, just the hose and a stick (I use a bbq stick). I leave the end flexible, so it allows me to go inbetween or even under ornaments. I clean my tanks around every 2 weeks for 20 to 30%. I have a 20g (90L) and guppies and cardinals (small bioload) I also have sand as substrate. The other tank is half size and houses the males. It's easy and it gets the job done easely without freaking out the fish.
@@HarisIdeas I don't have balls but tits 🤣 I did started with the siphon method, but I had a bunch of sand all over the tank, so I adapted accordingly. I would not recimend for big tanks 😁 Unless you have the whole day free to spend.
@@HarisIdeas No actually it's pretty easy with my "vacuumcleaner" system, and I don't need to breakdown the tank for cleaning. I do take ornaments (stones 🙄) out on e and a while for cleaning 😁
All you need is the good job on your Air powered substrate vacuum!!! Keep your eyes open for a new opportunity opportunity. You will have many more to come, be safe as well!!
It does but I have a bunch of decorations and tiny fish to avoid and end up taking g out more water than I need to change in my attempt to clean my substrate. It will turn my weekly change from one step into two, but it will make my job easier.
I have an doubt. The pump gives air as output so according to law the bubbles should express air outside not suck it right ? How this mechanism is sucking it. Could anyone explain
This works exactly like a siphon just that u won't have water coming out of your tank.. The reason why he put cotton there is so all your debris stays there and not go back into your tank.. If you prefer less strong suction just pinch your tubing or even bend it.. If you have an adjustable air pump, adjusting it to the lowest will also reduce suction power.. And those saying it's only useful for sucking out sand.. Come on bruh it's obvious he uses it as an example of debris..
But this doesn’t clean anything? It just picks up the sand. Like this is good if you need to remove sand and replace it…. But what is it actually cleaning?
I need to improvise for larger meat particles. Puffers leave lots of mess.. and would kill any cleaner fish.. If you have kits for quarter inch chunks, I want to buy one for each of my tanks! $$$ 👍👍
This video is worth ten million subscriptions alone!

Very good but im not able to understand your motor is blowing the air in tank or sucking the air .
Inlet or outlet?
It's blowing air, the air while flowing out sucks the Dirt

Thats pretty cool. Definitely won't work for my tank though I have sand bed

what is the plastic piece called at 0:42 and where to get it
Plastic tube or you can call that pipe
Amazing
Thanks
Thanks you
Thank you too!
What is that plastic pipe called?

I don’t understand where does the water go? Is that just recycling the water after it goes through the filter?
@@localgal501 yes, you constantly clean the water as it goes around.
Useful
Nice idea! But how do I clean up the debris from the bottom without sucking all the gravel out?

Itu dicolok ke aeratorkah bang?
Yes
So he use suction pump or air pump?
Air pump
Okay so I got a question okay they're at the end when you hook it to the air pump there's two hoses where's the other hose going
I don't understand.. how to separate the waste from the sand? I Saw you pour back the sand at the end. Doesn't it still mix with the waste?
I used sand as a fish poop, I poured it to show how Dirt was collected
What is the device he connected to ? A motor ?
Air pump
lol HAHAHAHHAHA
👍👍👍👍

Cool
🤩🤩🤩
All you need is tubing. Start the flow, gravity works.
But when you don’t want to change the water too, tubing is way too powerful to drain a tank fast sometimes

No need to gravel vac when growing plants though 😕
If you don't want bba, or hair algae you better vac out the dead/dying plant matter.

Hi
Hi
In a planted tank, it will suck the soil as well.
No it will not, it work same as a shipon pipe
Siphon does suck the soil.
@@ila420 if you get close to soil then it will suck the soil, if you maintain distance from soil then all light weight fish weast will shipon on it.
Exactly but it is not as easy as it sounds 😄
@@ila420 yes absolutely right 😅 it's happens when I do maintenance lol
