The ultra is really well optimised right out of the gate and knowing samsung there's gonna be further improvements as updates come by, specially in the camera front.
For now, they are running the pre release software, Samsung always gives updates right away but NO ONE does a follow up! 😒

Iphone 13 pro and pro max specifically are horrible for aberrations and lense flares.
Especially with localized light sources in a dim to dark setting.
s22 ultra has more realistic in terms of colors while the iphone has more saturated colors.

Funny how they flipped places over the years. Samsung used to be hated for over-saturated colors, but now the iPhone is literally becoming just that. Samsung is slowly but surely going for that true to life feeling lately. Whereas the Pixel is right in the middle.

Is true. I was gonna buy the galaxy just because it gives you more camera options including the telephoto, 108MP and pro mode in video and image. That right there is just the main reason. But since I have my iPad and AirPods, buying a Samsung would not convenient. So I’ll just buy the Iphone.
It’s funny how few games have been optimised for my exynos s22U. COD only has low graphics, Genshin is slow. PUBG tops out at HD graphics. I need updates or the snapdragon model!

S22 ultra will do for me. Cause i mostly used my phone for social media and media consumption, netflix and all. That screen is far more better than any smartphone right now and most importantly it is bigger and better and doesnt have iphone type notch. I no longer need to buy ipad mini that screen will do.

I'm not even Samsung fan, never liked the old Samsung. Another video showed a quick macro compare and the iphone was much better. I'd like to see a more detailed compare of the macro capabilities of each.
Not to downplay iphone, but I just can't really live on a slow charging(1-2hrs charging?) even if it has long hr uptime (9-10+ hrs usage). Samsung just offers much options. Now that in our country, snapdragon 8 gen 1 is available, that is a done deal for me.
LOL, that's a misnomer. literally these are cookie cutter phones. nothing distinguishes them apart. iphone never even had features and samsung stripped them all out over time.
@@BobRooney290 then maybe you aren't either of these users. Battery protection feature is available in samsung flagship phones as I know it(limits charge to 85%). There are advantages of one phone over the other, but I just narrowed it down to "charging time" capabilities, w/c s22 ultra had advantage.
that comment "samsung stripped them all out over time" is just a thing in the past. In this competitive smartphone market, iphone seemed to be playing catch-up and the only advantage they have is their CPU capabilities.

I actually always forgot to charge my phone late at night and often had my battery low in the morning. The fast charging is definitely helps me there
@@Rei-bg3rf if you charge your iphone for 30 min and you samsung dor 30 min, they would last just as long, iphone uses less batter and have a smaller battery so..

Samsung has larger battery, but IPhone runs better chip that consumes lower energy to drop down the heat to save the battery, while Samsung use the heat cooling material to release the heat to save the battery in another way, but generally, due to the advance of A15 chip, iPhone has better battery performance than Samsung

Hello. Thank you for the great comparison review. I've been watching similar reviews lately, and I'm still puzzled about the camera comparisons; not the opinion aspect, but the actual sample images. Historically, Samsung's images have possessed deeper or richer hues, and Iphone's images have been brighter and more ready for immediate sharing. But, I'm not seeing any consistency in the image samples. Everyone is offering differing results, which really shouldn't be the case. I found for the first time ever - while viewing your samples - that Samsung's images were more washed out, especially in regards to handling skin tone, and Apple's seemed have the richer hues. Do you have an expert opinion in regards to the lack of corroborated results between reviewers?

What charger was used on the samsung? Does it have the pd3.0 and pps protocol? Was a 5A e-marked 10gb charging cable used? The reason i ask is cause if u compare those numbers to the s20 ultra which also has a 5000mah battery u get the same percentages with the 25watt charger.
How does the s22 handle audio recording? Loud music, motorcycles, etc. Does the microphone record differently when using the selfie camera compared to the back camera? Thank you

I think they all offer a great experience. I believe if you have s21 ultra. No need to upgrade. Camera quality is marginal I mean marginal. People expect to much. None of these devices are leagues ahead of the other. One may do something slightly better but nothing to "high 5" about for real.

Did you select the max FPS in iPhone Genshin Impact as 120? It causes more heat on the device, so the average FPS will decrease even less than 60. I am using iPhone 13 Pro Max, and i never understand why your iPhone showed that low FPS in Genshin Impact test.

Please make a gaming test on S22 Ultra with Switch emulator games
Each phone has pros and cons on different types of shots. On the S22, that shot of the store front was just amazing! You could read the name of the store. On the i13, it was a wash. You could not read the name.
On some shots, there was a difference in color balance between the two phones. It goes down to what is being shot, lens being used, lighting situation, and how use like the results.
Personally, I am looking to upgrade from the Note8 to the 22Ultra.
More likely just a focusing issue.

The Ultra has cameras that the iPhone just can't match. It also has software features that make use of the large screen. The iPhone does nothing to take advantage of its extra screen real estate. The iPhone's ecosystem is legendary, but the charging for all their devices is all over the place. Samsung's ecosystem may not have quite the polish, but it's close, and at least all their devices use the same exact charger. Samsung just does a better job with the large phones.
But it runs Android so it’s a no no from me

Good video as always. I think there's so little to choose between them it will come down to OS. What's strange to my eyes is Samsung have changed their colour science and the pictures you showed seem less saturated than Samsungs in the past. The gaming results also show that the processor race has plateaud in real world performance. I really was shocked at what the latest iPhone did.
It hasn't plateaued! The game just got bigger. And not in the CPU but the GPU. In CPU Apple is like 2 years ahead if not more

Will I notice much difference from my current S20+? If so how much?
I got note 20 ultra and it worked fine until updated to android 12 then some apps would crash and camera freeze now and then and wried stuff will happen, same thing on my s10 plus I use to have after update just seems like updates are not ment for older phones but I got a iPhone 12 pro max first time , and took me 3 months and came real close going back to Samsung but it updated to iOS 15 and still runs smooth and now got the 13 pro max, I do miss a lot on Samsung but right now I’m staying with iPhone because apps works and camera works a lot better but I do miss that zoom on Samsung lol.
Both android and apple do this seemingly on purpose to "pursuade" users to upgrade...ofcourse that can't be proven but the conspiracy is there
U should have hard reset your phone. Clearly something went wrong on the update
Same issue I'm having, except that apps don't just close on me. There is noticeable stuttering across the UI, the display just flickers randomly, and there is an annoying bug with answering texts from the notification panel. I think it'll be fixed come One UI 4.1. I don't think it's enough to send me the Apple way, I'll be losing too much. Maybe I'll preorder the 22 ultra when it opens in my country.

S22U improved a lot of things but in terms of the longest battery life and converting video speed, the Max is still the champ. The S22U offset that with a faster charging speed and for apps other than video converter, the speed is pretty much the same. It's what I've seen in other benchmark videos at least.

I don't believe in benchmarks I believe in everyday use and speed
About the gaming benchmarks. you have to take into account that the galaxy s22 ultra has a higher resolution display. So in game its using a higher resolution too which means the fps is not comparable to the iphone. Unless you can both change the resolution ingame to the same.

For Genshin, you will need to make an apple to apple comparison (i.e. same location, same time of day, same characters). Example, day time is relatively smooth but night time might not be as smooth. Monstadt is fine but Inazuma is not.

In terms of Genshin performance, sorry I can’t agree with those numbers. There is no way the iPhone is performing that low, I’ve tested multiple times on my channel and will do another real-time fps test and side by side with the s22 ultra. I already own the iPhone 13 Pro Max and will soon own the S22 Ultra. Golden Reviewer shows that A15 is already performing better than the SD 8 Gen 1. The SD 8 Gen 1 is already slightly ahead the exynos 2200. Other channels like Dave2D also show way higher numbers for the iPhone when tested for 30 mins with this most recent update. But yes Genshin isn’t really a good optimized game. I just found those numbers very odd.
Apple has lately have a issue where the phone throttle heavy after 15 min of genshin session which is ridiculous considering the specs.
I think he changed the original settings. Because most pics by Samsung was also really sharp on other channels
