I purchased this camera based on this review. As a photography major i agree that simple is better and less is more. I am happy with the image quality. If I can do good photo's with this camera I'll do a much better job with higher end camera's. This is my new walk around camera which fits well in my back pack when riding my bike. This camera is also smaller then my other cameras which is nice as there are area's one does not want to carry expensive equipment for security reasons. A camera is a tool and I am very happy with this product. In the U.S. it's called T5. I too believe I can do and have done quality photography with this camera. Simple/less is good.
The Canon 1200D or t5 is an excellent camera that has many of the features that are practical and none that are not practical. I have had mine for several months now and I could not be happier. I believe the images produced by the camera used for this video were far more better with exposure, color rendition and bokeh. Many thanks for your invaluable input. Tony
Thanks for your review. I just purchased the EOS 1200D (Designated the Rebel T5 here in the U.S.A.) This will be my first DSLR. I have owned both Canon & Nikon equipment in the past. Looking forward to this new purchase. For the price, it's all I need.
I've been shooting with my 1200D for almost a year now. The most intriguing part is when fellow photographers, with much 'bigger' machines go, 'What did you use to get that shot?'. I kinda have to think twice before responding, lest I blurt out, 'Oh! This shot? Well... My creative mind.' But yeah... 1200D has served me well. No complaints.
Excellent review. I just got the Canon 1200D and your review is by far the best on YT. Good job!! I just purchase a 50mm 1.6 prime lens and am very excited to try it on this camera. Thanks again!
I use my 1200D for videos more than photography and the only bad thing about it is that there is no flip screen which means U can't c if UR in focus but everything else is awesome about it
+Dance Crazy 2016 I'm in the same situation - do u think the HDMI cable will work if we connect it to a telly while we are filming? i have to use a mirror to see if I'm in focus! pain in the butt!
The 1200D has better colors and great quality. The 70D is great but overpriced. Honestly, even if I had money for the 70D, I would still go with the 1200D.
+Academy of Photography I'm about starting a TH-cam channel. I believe that the 1200D is excellent for beginners. But honestly, the 70D costs 1,000€. I mean, the differences are small. They are details that only professionals notice. Great video btw.
+Academy of Photography Thank you. I haven't started it yet. I'm moving to a new city in about two weeks so I will start it later because I don't want my classmates to judge me. I'm just too shy.
ElVDmLuvfever Fever think before you put yourself on the internet as they will find you. if you are to shy, train yourself to be proud of yourself and stand up in front of anyone. once on the internet, your face will be public and you will be open to critique and haters. if you can't deal with that....think twice. i love haters, they make me think, adjust, improve and get better. i would be concerned if there will be no haters. you can be the best, the cutest, the smartest, the brightest...no matter what you do, haters will come.....they are just a percentage, necessary evil, unit of measure for your quality. sometimes they are just internet trolls with no life, trying to take other people down. ignore those and delete and ban whoever is rude and abusive with not substance. being a youtuber should be pride not shame as it is difficult to expose yourself.
Just bought one as backup camera together with a 50mm 1.4. The thing that was most surprising was the 'live view' modus. (I use a Fuji X100T and Nikon DSLR's) I thought something was wrong with my lens ... It took me some time to solve that. (all blurred) I think I bought the D1200 out of nostalgia, since i studied photography in the late eighties. I used the Canon AE1 and A1 and always thought that the F1 was the real deal. When i had the chance to use the Nikon F2 and the Leica and Hasselblad, I realized that there was the filmsize (35mm vs 6*6 and 9*6), the lens and the photographer who made the image superior. In the end i graduated with my pictures made with a very cheap 6*6 Yashica Matt camera. I must admit that one of my best and popular digital pictures was made with a very small HP 242 camera.
I found a really good deal on a 1200D but wasn't sure if it was the camera for me. Watched a ton of reviews and different comparison videos but this one is what sold me on the camera! Thank you so much for the help!!!
Seasoned photographers are able to produce great images with any camera. I’m sure you will produce fantastic photos with Canon 1200D. Being a hobbyist Canon DSLR user for 15 years; perhaps I’ll also be able to. I love old gears and use 5D, 5DII, 7D and 1DIV. However, I’m confident 1200D will also produce nice results. The fundamental requirements for good photography are all present with this camera. So, why not! Thank you for the video.
I love what you said sir, If you are going to ask me if I can use this professionally, I believe I can. Thank you sir. I LOVE THE FULL REVIEW. And im planning to buy one :) Godbless you :)
I don't have time to watch this video right now, just wanted to say, i use this camera, and i have no idea how cameras work, so my Uncle put all the manual settings on it, and yeah, it takes beautiful photos if you know how to handle it correctly and yeah, i am in love with the camera :3
Thanks, i just ordered one on-line, i just want something better than my iphone for family pictures and this seems perfect and easy to use for a beginner .
I bought a 100D instead and I think it is smaller and lighter. It is a very impressive little camera too and also has a touch screen on the back. It hardly fits in my hand, but I put a wrist strap on it that fixes this problem. I like to put my 70-200 f2.8 on it on professional shoots. It looks so strange to see this huge lens attached to such a tiny body.
Thumbs up for video. really liked it. But i would like to know, which would be better 1200D or 700D, as there is very less difference between them. Could you help me to select one?
I've just brought this for video mainly - it doesn't have a flip screen so i have to use a mirror to see the screen when i am filming myself. is there a way of connecting the camera to a telly while its filming me for my makeup videos? I'm not sure if the HDMI cable is worth buying unless it will show me what I'm filming WHILE I'm filming it, not after? thanks :)
Hello! im new in cameras and im a pro beginner and I want to buy a pro camera but I dont know what to buy so can you please tell me what camera shall I buy or what camera is likely to have...thanks
So I know almost nothing about cameras but i am very interested in photography and film making. I would like to vary my photos from roof tops views (urbex) to abandoned buildings to people to beaches etc. Just everything i explore really. Would this camera be appropriate to purchase for my purposes? I don't really want to spend too much on my first camera but i want to make sure i wont be wanting to upgrade immediately. Any suggestions or replies are appreciated :)
I don't get why the 1200D has better, more pleasingly exposed image quality to it than the 70D. 70D looks dark all through out. Are you sure they were on the exact same settings?
I am happy with 1200d. 50mm STM on it and it work well even in low light or at night. Very easy to use and it is built better than it looks at first. Battery is to small for me and that is the biggest grape I have with it. One or two spares is must have for trips in nature etc..
Great video, I have a big question. I currently have a Canon T5. I have my settings at the highest jpeg settings. Where I normally used to get 10-11 mb per image now they are at 5-7 mb per image. Any idea how i can fix this issue. Thank you,
HELLO!! THIS IS URGENT! Should I buy a canon 1200d with 18-135 lens which come with 2 camera bags and a charger and a uv thingy for the lens? he is selling it for 140 usd dollars. Is it worth it? Please reply ASAP.
Could you please help me with shooting night photography with this camera? All of my night photos with this camera come out very noisy and blurry. Great full review
Sir I have One Canon 1200 D Camera. But no wifi . If I use a wifi card in my camera. Can I tranfer picturs to any other Wifi items like Smartphones etc?
i have canon d1200 but i dont get the nice bla background, im i shooting wrong,or do i need a special lens for that? 2. i have to go way back before getting a full picture of people, please any advise
I'm a bit confused whether to take CANON 1200D with 18-55 and 50-250mm lens or NIKON 3300D with single 18-55mm lens, both reasonably at same price more or less Nikon charge 2000 bucks more!

Well, I got my daily dose of cringe with that intro.
+Bodomi me too..still you got to appreciate the different approach :)) compared to other reviewers
can it take pictures of moon and straz?
ahahahahahah that's why I came in comment section omg LOL
jessica moore It can but pictures of stars and moon won't be of very good quality.
Facts
I actually preferred the pictures from the 1200d to the 70d haha
Excellent no-nonsense video. Thanks for making it and posting it! I liked your intro too - it made me smile!
Thank you

does it have a mic input ?plz reply
@@AliSafeermainchannel no, but you can add one with a soldering iron and some skills.
By far, the best intro I've ever seen! Hahaha thank you so much for the detailed review! :)
I am a simple man. I see a man of culture dropping truth bombs, I click on the bell.
The introduction killed me
that intro though

how do you find it without the additional microphone?

review is great out of no questions.....but i must say your accent made my day.....INCREDIBLE!
The 1200D has better colors and great quality. The 70D is great but overpriced. Honestly, even if I had money for the 70D, I would still go with the 1200D.
+ElVDmLuvfever Fever i believe images are similar, 70 d has more settings. 1200 d will give photos as good as the 70 d.
+Academy of Photography I'm about starting a TH-cam channel. I believe that the 1200D is excellent for beginners. But honestly, the 70D costs 1,000€. I mean, the differences are small. They are details that only professionals notice. Great video btw.
send me the link to your channel. good luck!

Best review video on TH-cam, clear and detail

I don't have time to watch this video right now, just wanted to say, i use this camera, and i have no idea how cameras work, so my Uncle put all the manual settings on it, and yeah, it takes beautiful photos if you know how to handle it correctly and yeah, i am in love with the camera :3
