Love your videos! Especially love the ones where you buy a big box of "mystery cameras" where you don't know what they are or if they are working or not until you unbox them. PLEASE PLEASE do another of those videos soon as I absolutely love them! Keep up the good work! 👍😎😎😎
Hi! That's awesome! I would actually recommend taking a look at the Canon 55-250MM IS STM lens. It's a great smooth lens that's super fast, and gives you quite a bit of range. Used prices are in the $130-160 USD, I think around $299 new.
I got my 50mm stm for about 90€ for my Canon 1100d just started working with Canon bodies! Looking forward to getting 10-18 stm lens in summer as my next lens! Are the Canon 24mm and 35mm lenses any good ? What about the 85mm?
Hello! I found this website, and it's pretty handy. I have actually bought a few camera setups from dentists over the years. The most common I have seen are Nikon 85mm and 105MM FIXED lenses, that would be paired with a Nikon DSLR body. Also, Canon has a 100mm F2.8 lens that is pretty affordable you could pair with a Canon body and achieve similar results! dentalphotography.blogspot.com/2014/05/the-right-lens-for-dental-clinical.html
For group portraits (and wider groups) I like the 10-18mm lens, which will be equivalent of 15-27mm, making the outer edge of that range possibly a good option? There will be a bit of distortion on the outer edges of the image. The 50mm likely would be a little too close.
@@pricklypearcamera Thanks for getting back to me . I want to do product photography (at home) for e-commerce, small business websites, starting with pictures of small items like supplements, perfumes, Jewelry, electronic gadgets, colognes, wine bottles, and the largest items being shoes which lens would give me the best results?
Hi! So I have the canon T5. I ordered a refurbished 50MM from canon, and it doesn’t fit my cameras body. What’d I do wrong in ordering and can I get some sort of adapter so it can fit my current camera?
Darn! Canon makes a few different "mount" versions of the 50mm. You want to find the "CANON EF" 50MM mount. I would probably go ahead and do a return if you could. You might have gotten the newer "RF" Mirrorless 50mm lens? That won't fit on your T5.
It's like the only 3 Canon lenses I bought. LOL. Then I did splurge on Sigma 18-35mm because people say that's the lens they use on all sorts of video cameras, Black Magic, Red Camera etc.

Awesome thank you! I am editing my 1st untested camera lot video in a long time! Might even have it live today!
@@pricklypearcamera outstanding! Look forward to seeing it! 😎👍
Thank you so much. I'm a camera nerd, but I'm still learning my way around lens.
Happy to help!
I have this camera. It was gifted to me. I want to take wildlife photos. Suggestions on a telephoto lense to get more distance.

I recommend the 75-300mm lens
I picked up a 50mm for 60 bucks with a metal mounting. I need to get more lense. And price value I keep finding nice prices.

Would these lenses help with Astro photography as well?
Probably not much. The zoom lenses maybe a little bit, but they're not that sharp. More expensive glass will do better.
I have this cam and 50mm lens, still good for 2024?
Yep, still takes great pics! Only thing lacking in 2024, is higher quality video, but for stills, still takes good pictures for sure.
Can i buy this in 2024?? Still good?? What will be the price?
Yep, it's widely available in the US marketplace used. For the body and 18-55mm lens, it normally sells for around $175 USD.
Good morning, whats the best lense for dental photography?

@@pricklypearcamera thank you so much brother
Would you say a t5 is still okay to use for starting photography? I'd rather upgrade lenses than cameras. 😅
Oh definitely! I've seen some incredibly photos taken even in 2024 with the T5. You get a couple good lenses and you're in good shape!
Hey there!
I’m having a hard time deciding which one I should use for group or family portraits!
Would you be able to help?

There's a cheap 24mm that isn't bad for wide shots
Can I use these lenses with my 2014 EOS 1200D?
Yep, you sure can!

Any recommended lens to do some car photography with the Rebel T5? Looking to dust off my camera and use it for a while moving forward.
I would take a look at the 10-18mm stm for closeup/wide angle shots, or the 55-250mm STM lens. is very fast and quite versatile.
I wanna shoot gym videos for Instagram reels with this camera. What lens do you recommend for that?
I would take a look at the 10-18mm lens. Will make the space appear a bit bigger too.

Haha! Ahhh. That's a nice lens! I shot with the Sigma 18-35mm ART with my Panasonic GH5 for a while, lovely lens!
