Imagine eating a whopper and remembering your time on the hook in the slaughterhouse.
Did you know the brain actually extends to the gut? It's called the second brain but in reality it's all one.
Brother those are nerves 🤦 but there isss a cluster of neurons in heart responsible for many of its important functions
But if I haven't heard of the thing you are talking about so tell me about it If am wrong
"Tell us where your base is!"

"Very well then" *Deploys Tactical Ranch sauce on table"
"Looks like ork meat is back on the menu, marines!"
“The sweet sensation of having both main dishes and desserts simultaneously… How sinister… How delightful…”
Some chapters, like the Dragon Spears, eat their dead simply to pass knowledge and experience to others, and that is arguably one of the more "wholesome" examples of this practice.
Also, sometimes the potency of the memories aquired varied depending on the chapter; like the Soul Drinkers, who got their name because they would also inherit some the subjects emotions associated with the memories, as if they also able to see into the subject's soul!!!
The more I learn about 40k lore, the more dread I feel about this franchise.
What in the world is this insane horror/dystopian/space soap opera/fantasy setting!?
SO MUCH DEPTH! 🤯
“Tell me!”
“Never!”
*CHOMP*
“Agh what the fu-?!”
“Got it. The rebel base is 20 clicks that way. Also this guy has got a serious oedipus complex, might wanna get into therapy my guy”
That’s kinda what the night lords did if I recall correctly
“I NEED TO GO INTO THERAPY!? DUDE, YOU JUST ATE MY &&&ing EAR!!!”

"It was a tasty ear"
@@garcalej You don't have to worry about your oedipus complex when you're busy thinking about your ear, now do you?

Best case scenario of being interrogated by a space marine, you tell em what they want to know, and they give you a fast death.
They might eat you immediately after the fast death, just to confirm you were telling the truth.
I one time saw a marine put a grenade pin in an empty 556 casing and eat it.
“Tell us what we want to know”
“Never”
Tucks napkin into shirt collar “I was hoping you’d say that”
😂😂
Space marine: Hello civilian i would like directions to McEmperors
Civilian: okay 2 minutes *pours tomato sauce on self*
This guy sounds exactly like space race
Imagine munching on some flesh of an ork then you get a 3 boys 1 cup memorie man that space marine whishes he never ate that
what would happen if they swallow some men's white liquid? would they get memories 💀
Yes@@SlasherRGBeats
@@SlasherRGBeatsask the 3rd legion.
So, technically, you could employ a space marine to confirm whether a steak was grass fed or not?
Remember [Prototype]? This was that entire game's gimmick, and it was awesome
Imagine you are eating at a questionable burguer place and suddenly you get human memories after bitimg your hamburguer 💀
That'd be a horryfing way to find out what the menu was that day
That actually sounds like an interesting premise for a one shot 40K fanfic
that moment you're eating 100% beef burger and you get the memory of a farmer's wife
Hmm yes illegal activity, I should notify the authorities *mUnch*
When you tell the Space Marine interrogator the truth but his CO says "Verify his statements."
Imagine biting into a hamburger and you suddenly gain the memories of the cow that was used to make the burger.
I feel like that would lead to at least one faction that wanted to end all this pointless and endless fighting because they can *literally* put themselves into their "enemies" shoes
Imagine a space marine eating an enemy and suddenly Potemkin's theme starts blasting in their head. 😂
In my head cannon that's a former chapter that was declared excommunicatus.
They have their empathy removed at 15.
@@Alacritous I comment on a lot of political videos, and at first I thought you were responding to one of those. I was about to be all 'Well now that's hyperbolic.' but if we're talking about space marines, all good...
@@BunniRabbi Conservatives don't have empathy. It's part of the definition.
Mike Tyson was gaining important tactics in the ring, when he chewed on that ear

space marines just keeps getting more awesome one fact at a time
Space marine: I need to study for tomorrow's survival test and you look pretty knowledgeable right next.
With how insane animal practices are on agri worlds to feed the Imperium, a lot of marine indoctrination has to be not become flooded with cow memories after eating a steak. lol, might be why the Space Wolves went from vikings to wolf marines over the last 10k years.
Its also the lore my friend is using for his meme homebrew chapter. Went insane eating Norn Queen steak and have began their search for the biggest beasts to hunt and eat.
Nope, because memories & thoughts can only be recovered by eating the raw brain.
If it's cooked, it's value is reduced to dead calories.
@@SonsOfLorgar This. It's not like you can take a bite of some guys leg and suddenly gain tactical information out of him. They have to eat the brain, particularly the parts that have memories, and the brain can't have been too destroyed by, say, a bolter round. It also can't have decayed or rotted too much, or the information is gone.
@@SonsOfLorgar damn just annihilated the legitimacy of his novel, now it's all for nothing
@@GreenLeafUponTheSkyrelax, no, he didn't. The organ is space magic. Canonically, an SM can gain memories off livers.
So, if anything, the memory reading ability is part psychic.
Good old Emprah was one of the greatest psychic minds, and he designed the gene-seed of the SM.
To return to the brain eating thing: if you eat the brains, or just plain more of the person, the memories gained become more accurate and last longer. That is it.
Warhammer 40k is the embodiment of "okay but my guy can do THIS" turned into a universe
I wonder if an Astartes has ever sampled some corpse starch and just got flooded with memories
Corpse starch is specially treated and so thoroughly processed, it transmits nothing. It is utterly bland in every way.
Honestly if space marines are knocking at your front door, you're probably already dead.
