Yeah. I'm a fan of older miniatures, but some of the classic rulesets are really clunky by today's standards. Fortunately there are a host of lean, mean indie games out there right now that are simply more fun to play.

Verrotwood is my favorite skirmish game atm, its lightweight, but extremely fun! Great report, I love the static cameras, I usually can't handle battle reports that use handheld cameras.

I like these mechanics as well - in the Marvel super heroes RPG - the direction table was used for GRAND SLAMs for super strong characters or for dramatic falls

Yeah, we got those at a con. One of the vendors was selling laser-cut products and the wooden disks were a byproduct, so they burned images on them and sold them cheap. I think we got 20 for $5 or something.

Not at all, though I’m afraid I won’t be much help. We got those at a con earlier this year. The vendor (I forget who) sold laser-cut MDF products and the disks were just leftover material they were trying to make use of. They had a bucket full of them and I think they were 20 for $5 or something like that.
