You had me at "Folk Horror!"
As soon as I heard "folk horror" and "you play a cult" I instantly thought of a cult to Shub Niggurath and her Thousand Young. I also thought of the cultists from Frostgrave. They would be perfect minis for this.
Sweet. I picked up The Moder from The Ritual mini a while back that would be perfect for this game.
I am incredibly excited to play this game, and would love to see what you come up with cult wise.
Thematically this looks amazing! Can't wait to check out the full review when I get home!

This is a cool looking game. I like the pray/ritual mechanic.

If you like VERY Dark Fantasy there is a new Indie game that is making HUGE waves at the moment call 'Fear and Hunger'.
It's brilliant, and it's best if you go in knowing NOTHING about the game; supereypatch wolf and others have released in depth videos but they really spoil a lot of the 'Ah ha!' moments, even from right at the start of the game, that you come across, so go in blind if oyu can.
There is one proviso; The game is INCREDIBLY NSFW. I mean the most NSFW you can think of in a dark way. There is a mod available that removes a lot of the visual stuff, but the themes are still incredilby dark.
However the game is still amazing...
