This man is a killer. Not only is his teep perfect, he uses his teep in so many different ways. Most ppl use it strictly for defense, to create space and halt forward motion. His teep is so much more versatile. With his teep he can attack, defend, or use it to counter almost any strike with both speed and power. Once you see it, it makes you reconsider everything you know about striking. It's like he has a deeper understanding of each strike and their application than most fighters ever will. It's probably why he's laughing, and not wearing a mouth piece 🤣
There are a lot of Nak Muay with that level of detness using the teep... it's just less explored and used in kickboxing and mma etc. Haggerty has a great educated teep for a westerner.

@@TopicFight Hey, I've come back to this video x100++ times already just to let you know how valuable this is. Again, keep it up and appreciate you replying! A big fan here!
Everything Tawanchai did had a reason. He was super objective about this. As soon the video starts he sweeps the guy, with confidance that the guys will fall. He is not "trying" to sweep. Movement super fast, but he also has this unique pacing where sometimes he flows, sometime he kills, sometimes he waits. Also propros to ognjen here, bro tried to be versatile, he had a lot of different ideas to attack Tawanchai, most people are stucked in two or three, but this guy tried everything he knew.
sparring is such a skill in itself. Not only do you have to learn technique, breathing, spacing etc. But also how to spar with speed, but not to hurt your partner. You can always see a fighter with good level of experience simply through them not being a dick when sparring - and still getting more hit contact than their partner...
Some awesome footage of just plain good ole people smackin. Not much people understand the rawness and the push it takes at times in sparring unless you've been in it, and this captures it beautifully.. Love it and love the content you put out sir. Keep on keeping Ognjen been a fan of yours for a long time 🙏🏾

1:22 watch this in 0.25x speed, Tawanchai gets on his toes to change the angle higher to get above your knee block, and perfectly hits between your guard high. Thats some nextlevel shit right there
I thought that was just basic muay thai technique. I'm a beginner in muay thai and that is how I am instructed when using any knee or type of kick. It's all on the balls to essentially generate the most power.
@@Jack-qv8qc Sidekick or teep is just a teep, there is many variations of it, learning the basics takes no time, though changing the trajectory of the kick and hitting it above knee guard in a fight takes mastery. That takes a lifetime. Also some people teep with a flat support leg and some prefer to be on the ball of the foot (Example Samart). Depends who is teaching.
yep a kick can be used just like a punch plus it can be more versatile since a leg can hit from more angles and creates more power than a punch can yet just like a jab can be use offensively to set up and defensively to check moves find distance and keep range
yes the front teep is the main muay thai jab, variations include the mid teep, jumping mid teep(check saenchai), half side teep(the one tawanchai is doing), oblique teep(usually to leg) and the face teep (usually consider an disrespecting taunt in thailand) edit: mastery in mid and oblique teeps are also what's mainly giving the muay thai practitioners tons of advantage when they face good boxers and kickboxers, my coach often says to me "don't be afraid of no good boxer, use your teeps and stomps on his trunk and leg, open him up and bang him."
Fantastic!!! Both great fighters and really great technical sparring. And Tawanchai was more like a teacher here. He saw that his front tip going nicely to the belly so he did used it a few times lightly to let the white fighter learn. Salut with respect!!!

Ok tawanchai is the top of the elites in muay thai in this era of fighters... but man thai people are built different. I trained for years but once i tried to train there for few weeks you can see the difference in terms of endurance, stamina, boudy structure especially bones are hard. Even if you do sparring with someone that weight 20kg less than you they are just though. Modern day spartans, they live to train and smash the opponent. Only respect for thai people.
