- Look, you have to give Robbie Fleck some credit - he could side step. He wasn't the greatest Springbok ever and had a relatively short international career, but he had pace to burn and did score some great tries. Here is a collection of his best.

That 2000 game where they moved him to 12 against the All Blacks...!! Not only scored the two tries shown here, but set up a try for Delport as well. Was a great centre. Still, best 13 we have had in recent times IMHO has got to be Jaques Fourie.
More like King of lines. The lines this guy ran are outa this world.
Not for the injuries later in his age would be the best number 13 in the country. What a pleasure to watch at Newlands

I agree with your comments he had a great step but I hated his attitude. He had a number of yellow cards (and maybe a red or two?) because he was a bit of a chop. South Africa has often had these players that were liabilities to their teams like Butch James when he couldn't help himself and always put out his arm to clothesline someone when they stepped inside of his defence. The coaches never seemed to get a handle on these guys. Corne Krige was the same when his final act as a player was a totally deserved red card.
But anyway my real issue with this video is that I don't think any video of Robbie Fleck is complete if it doesn't include him getting monstered by Deon Kayser after he crossed the tryline. :-)

I think was actually at the stadium for the one game shown here against Canada in 2000, if I recall correctly it was John Smits debut match for the Springboks
