Thanks for the info. I would like to kindly critique the video though on how it could be better. Keep the entire video relevant... the question didn't even start answering until 4:45, and the question wasn't even asked until 2:15. I personally don't care that you care about Game of Thrones, or where some person is from. As professionals, I just sought your help to cure my condition, not to waste my time hearing your small talk. I'm sure you guys like to chat with each other, but the rest of us just aren't interested. But thanks! The info once it got started was great.
The most interesting thing was brought up at the very end, can a cervical issue cause chronic elbow pain.. I have ME for a year that just wont go away even though i have stopped kitesurfing and windsurfing which is what started the Pain.. I do have c-45 and c56 compression can that be part of the problem, i will have to speak to my neurologist. Larry
Hi, I thought you (and other physical therapists!) should be aware that medial epicondylitis is also quite common in musicians. Percussionists, violinists, etc. are very prone to the injury. Many physical therapists aren't aware of the demands on musicians' arms and as a result, injured musicians are often treated like athletes. I loved your video and it is very helpful, though I think you should be aware that athletes are not the only ones to get these injuries! Thanks!
I think the fitness element is overlooked so well done for covering here. Yes, grip related movements like pull ups are definitely a factor but I think my chronic issue started from performing overloaded dumbbell bicep curls which strangely has only affected the left elbow. Previously I had experienced same pain from excessive chin ups (not pull ups) so had to stop those for a while. As for reducing the volume or load are you saying I should still perform curls but with say an empty bar and gradually add weight? I have stop curls altogether but still continue all other gym work (bench press/overhead press/dips/rows/etc) as they do not directly target/affect problem area. I don’t want to stop all gym activity for sake of one area.
What exactly is it in the cervical spine that is causing medial epicondilytis specifically? I've been getting pain every time I start working out again for years and I have no clue what to do about it. I have even taken rest for over two years and the same thing happened as soon as I started.
I have medial epicondylitis. But in addition i have also struck that area accidentally and more then once. I always lifted filled shovel loads with my wrist ( carpal )and unload by turning the wrsist quickly. I swim to. University coaches emphasize strngth train triceps . ( shouolder risk = over use rotator.) Athletes we feel pain, we are told to reduce wk out( yet we are raised believing fitness is the right thing) so i am to conclude that yest cardio fitnesz and strengthening is healthy but medicine and science have not been able to increase bone density and durability with aging and this is the BIG ? for everyone. If i knew i could eat certain things to reverse aging of bone durability i would be on ir yesterday. Why cant human do this?
Only people that are super active get it cutting 🔨⚒️ hammering painting mowing weed eating you name it I don't I got it and it's sore and it won't go away

Yes. It's a very American thing to have a lot of inane waffle before content. Really draining

Too much chatter and fake laughing. Get to the point!

I’m a massage therapist and I’m suffering with it for years! It’s very common in massage therapists
Good stuff, but you guys forgot to demonstrate the rehab exercises and stretching to help speed up the healing. Thanks.

Could be nerve root irritation that decreases the motor output to the elbow, so you overload the elbow
@@Mikereinold is there any way of making sure this is the problem and what could be done to so solve it if it is.

Gave up. Too much unrelated "he he he..." plus you know all the guys' names, but the woman stuck in the back, "What's your name?"
They said her name in the first 2 minutes…
