If all businesses could afford these benefits what a great working environment everyone would have. I feel blessed that I work for an educational institution that provides us insurance, vacation, and retirement when many companies are removing these benefits from their businesses. Google believes that they are the ones benefiting by providing these perks to their employees, while at the same time the employees feel they are benefiting by working for Google. I suppose Great minds do think alike.
The computer accessories vending machine is really great at some companies. No filling out paperwork for a new mouse just get it from the vending machine with your employee. I went from a tech job with those to a tech job with no windows and an hr department that didn’t do anything for you unless you were friends. Literally had a manager tell one of our top technicians they didn’t need a raise because they didn’t have any kids. If it could be done right some unionizing could be a really good thing

I want to work there so badly! I just have no idea how to prepare myself for when I need a job and try out google. Im trying everything now, website design, programming, animation, etc but I don't know what I'm going to need?
If you look closely, you will find that there were not a lot of people working there that were 35 or odler. I bet google has very high ecxpectations of their employees and all these things that you see people doing is done after hours when you are not working. I bet the paq there might be lower than other organizations or they pay you good but then there must be deductions for things that google does for their employees. We dotn know the other side of the picture.
They pay you good salary, they give FREE breakfasts etc, but don't forget they're the employer and you're hired to "work" there. If there are apartments, that means you're on-duty 24/7 LOL
Free ride to work is extremely common in India. e.g. Larsen & Toubro , Reliance. and so s 8 months of maternity leave as well.. Despite awesome food, only few people appeared fat! Interesting..isn't it?
