    I'm so glad you're making videos how to change things on the mg tf! (i have a tf 135)
    I've had trouble with finding articles/posts that explain things properly, but your videos are so helpful and clear.
    I appreciate it!!! :)

    You didn't show connecting power to sidelights or battery. On the oem loom I have there are connectors to clip in to something. Do you know if there are connectors on the fuse box these clip into ?

    • @CarsWithWillo
      @CarsWithWillo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Richard, what kind of connectors are they? Might you be referring to the various earthing points?

    • @richardlangstaff7283
      @richardlangstaff7283 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CarsWithWillo hi. Its OK, I worked it out. I have connectors on the loom for the 2 power feeds and found that they go yo connectors on the fuse box, being an oem.loom and the fog lights work fine. I was going to get a garage to wire them up but found your video and done it myself so thank you for the video !

    All TF models had the fog lamp wiring loom fitted in the factory, so fitting fog lamps is just a case of removing the bumper, fitting the light units, the light switch and relay. However all late 04 and 05MY TF’s will have to have the car put onto T4 diagnostics to tell the car has fog lights fitted, otherwise they won’t work. From 2004 onwards all MG Rover cars were fitted with Pektron SCU units which had relays controlling central locking, fog lights, intermittent wipe and wash wipe.

      Not sure this is correct? I only say that because I have known of several instances where the wiring has had to be fitted (such as mine). Of course the wiring might have been removed but that wouldn’t make much sense! Also not sure what you mean by T4 diagnostics- mine didn’t require any reconfiguration. Maybe I am misunderstanding

    Thank you I enjoyed your program very much; I have a M G TF on a 2002 ; I have front and rear fog lights but only the rear work on a switch inside my car for the rear fog lights, but the front does not have a separate interior switch could you please advise me if possible. Thank you Sean pickles

    • @CarsWithWillo
      @CarsWithWillo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Sean, from what I've been told, some cars were fitted with the lights, but not the wiring loom (that might be wrong!) The front fog lights would require a separate switch, operating front and rear with one switch wouldn't be advisable.
