I am officially spellbound by this homage to a personal favorite.. Nobody I've ever known has been able to emulate this true classic!!! A thousand dead thanks of appreciation!!
I'm so glad! Thanks Bradley! Some friends and I did another goblin cover of Tenebre if you want to check it out. It's on my bandcamp page. I just updated the vid description to link to bandcamp instead. :)
This is fucking AMAZING. The blend into each song, you NAILED it man. I was hoping to find some tabs but I shall try working this out by ear like you did I'm sure! :)
"Perfect baby... perfect" this is an amazing cover! I LOVE this song and always get hyped when this comes on and they get the trucks... Hate Roger getting bit, even tho I've seen the movie thousands of times I still always hope and wish Roger can make it without getting bitten ... RIP Roger 🙏 😥
Thanks so much! I'm totally with you. Love the trucks scene specifically for that reason. ROGER, COOL YOUR HEAD MAN! fwiw, there's remastered version of this cover on a new Halloween album I just put out if interested. Cheers! fanlink.to/spookage
When I first heard this cover I didn't know much about Goblin at all, listening to it again after all these years makes me appreciate Simonetti, and your, talent even more. RIP George Romero, you were a gentleman and a master of the craft of filmmaking
Man, this is out of the charts amazing!!!!! As a fan of the film I salute you for these impeccable renditions of these timeless undying themes!XD!! May you achieve the recognition you deserve for this!
I got to say, as a fan of both metal and this flick, this is a pretty damn good cover. Really good balance between faithfulness to the source material but also playing it in different style. Which with any form of art is difficult to maintain that balance. If they only made a scene in the remake of Dawn of the DEad similar to the original when this song is played in its full, when they were moving the trucks to block the entrances to the mall so the zombies couldnt gain leverage with their increasing numbers. This particular cover would be the best way to score it note for note to a modern audience but still retain that 70's note structure from the original. ITs perfect.
One of the things that struck me about Dawn of the Dead, was the music was totally unconventional for a horror movie - LA Caccia is like 70s Action Funk and the Gonk is like circus music. The tunes really stood out and I love the movie. Stemage, it's obvious you felt the same too and you have created a masterpiece of a tribute to one of the most beloved cult classic tunes ever. I believe George A Romero would have loved it since he was the man who selected it. I believe Goblin would be honoured that their creation is still relevant today. Absolutely fantastic job - 2020 and its aged like a fine wine.
@@Stemage To me this tune represents the buddy partnership between Stephen and Peter (the two Swat Cops). It gave that retro action feel, which must have been a first for horror movies at the time. Your version really enhances that aspect - takes it to the next level. We need a movie cut with your mix on it.
Yes! I don't know why it took me so long to discover this. This is one of my favorite Goblin tracks and I've always wanted to hear a metal/prog cover of it! We got this man, we got this by the ass!
@@Stemage bro monroeville is litterly a Warzone dawn of the dead with gang bangers with guns instead if zombies lol so bad the mall doesnt have security lmfao if ur from Pittsburgh look at the news yo
Holy crap i LOOOOOOVVVVEEEED this! Ive been trying my damn best to transcribe the main theme in midi, its coming along really well but some of those weird keyboard sounds and effects are giving me a headache haha.
The way this one sounds, it VERY much has the right tones that makes it sound like something that would belong in a beat-em-up! Like Streets of Rage or Final Fight. O_O Or maybe make a Dawn of the Dead beat-em-up!
Fantastic cover! You got this! You got this by the ass!
I would beTHRILLED to hear this masterpiece on a zombie flick in movie theatre. A perfect homage to the zombie genre.
To quote the great Roger: You've got this by the ass!
Awesome playing!
It's hard to explain, but there's something about this that just makes me want to keep listening over and over.
This rendition of La Caccia rocks my balls off. Awesome cover you've made here Stemage.
Thank you!

AWESOME!!! YEAH!!!!!!
Damn fine cover sir. I know it's from Dawn, but I always envision this as the overworld music to a early/mid 90's Final Fantasy type RPG.
Thank you so much! And I completely agree.
It's My Favorites
I miss this sort of generation of zombie films with practical effects everywhere
Mate, just stumbled across this. One of my favourite bits of movie music, and you've done a truly brilliant version! Love it!

Please do a version of Tenebrae Main Theme.
Hi! I did actually! vikingguitar.bandcamp.com/track/oscurit-tenebre
OMG! Just heard it. Stemage, if Mozart were alive today, he'd quit after hearing this and become a fishmonger. You beat Goblin twice! I'm gobsmacked.
gobsmacked ha!! Thanks so much, Johnny.
What's that
WOW!!
@gmullin Its not TOO tricky when its 7/8 :p
Thanks!!
Hey wheres flyboy? Where's his twenty?
He's probably up on the roof, with fly girl!
dude you have an amazing ear for transcribing music. Goblin doesn't use a bunch of lame three-note major chords.
NICE
