New Zealand Fire Service uses them. We used to use the split vector bars but now we have upgraded to the slr. We do use the singular pods for the rear.
This is an am amazing bar. The NYPD is known for bringing the vision to light. Other known departments would be Las Vegas Metro FDNY New York & New Jersey Port Authority
Like to see a VID of this light bar facing straight forward, or somewhat level view, with a demo of the various flash patterns, and red/blue..... Possible???
Can you have it so the driver side pods rotate the opposite way, i.e. so it creates a "center->out" pattern (like a pod version of an arrow bar almost, if that makes sense?)
I wish my hometown Fire Department had these type of lightbars on their vehicles, they have the Red, White & Amber LED Lightbars instead, However, my buddy is a volunteer firefighter here in New Hampshire (USA) and just 3 days ago he got these exact same lightbars in Red & White for his Fire (POV) Pick-Up Truck.
Completely skipped over the fact that those center pods had a different color to the back. One of the features of that bar. Allowing for even Amber white red or blue facing front or back which is configurable.
@@sheldonhill288 Ahh, okay. The closest thing would be a Navigator Light Bar; configured with a mixture of SLR Rotators and Quadflare Modules. www.fedsig.com/product/fireems-navigator (just envision Amber instead of the Red color shown 😉)
Hey all does anyone know of a bar like this Where the center rotatates arround and with a trigger wire or flash pattern wig wag that center optic left right foward facing?
I'll give Federal Signal props for sticking true to one of their best designs, but I think they took a major step back with the spinning reflector design. Just another moving part to fail. Great video as always Chris. I need to call you guys again one of these days and get some lighting and mounting info for a rather challenging vehicle.
Disagree, nothing compares to the look of a rotator. The LED lighting and multicolors are just a great enhancement. LEDs with fake rotation-like looks just aren't as eye catching.
This gives a much more true rotator effect, also from what I have seen looks to have a better pop then say a whelen rotabeam LED. Just my two cents, but damn they are pricey.
Studies show that a light that is in motion is noticed by the eye a lot quicker than lights that flash from a stationary fixture. That's why were are starting to see products that try to integrate traditional rotation with LED lights.
You can if you desired, this helps with the variety. The Valor lightbar is basically the alternative to the vision, although a split version doesn't exist yet.

I would love to see the full Vision SLR Smart bar like NYPD uses.
We'll cross our fingers for one :)

Search for NYPD/FDNY and Chicago Fire videos on TH-cam. They use these on some of their apparatus.

Very cool bar. Too bad they are so expensive.
Thanks for watching :)
I love the sound👍

This is what the new FDNY trucks haves :)
The brand new ones have the whelen rotobeam
I hope these light wil be used in europe as wel.

I wish they would use the SLR rotator/Salaris reflector, multi-colored LED in a single pod for a mag-mount beacon with cigar plug!
I thought they had one.
@@Guillotines_For_Globalists Last time I checked, they had amber, but not Red/Blue/White.
@@Journeyman.71 That's true. Thought you were talking about the light itself, not the colors.
I like the ability to go from red and white to all red. White light and fog doesn't work well.
the swtich to red is actually and NFPA requirement to shut of all white lights when parked

I thought the SLT Split Vision also had an oscillating feature?
Can you get it with only Amber and White?
Yes, it would be special-order though. This Red and White configuration is Federal Signal's 'standard' model. Thanks for watching😀
Do they offer a 3 pod mag mount in amber/white with cigarette plug?
Negative... they only have them in a hard-wire with mounting feet.
SIRENNET Thank you for the quick reply!
What are the other applications besides fire trucks?
Ambulance & Medical Response.

In what way?

is it not called the ViewPoint anymore?
ViewPoint has the halogen model :) www.doc.safesignal.be/Federal%20Signal/Lightbars/Viewpoint/3124_ViewPointL.pdf
Right I bet that gonna be for NYPD.

You mean similar to the original V light bars Federal Signal has made?

They use a much more reliable motor and are fair less prone to failure than past rotators.

Why not just use a led bar? Strobes are a lot more noticeable when running Code 3
Braven X parked, yes. Strobes are very effective at my agency for getting traffic out of the way WHILE moving. While parked, I agree. Slow is better

All airports and lost of other places require that Emergency vechicles have 360 visable lights.
"strobes" 😂
P CALNA I meant LED strobes
